Hurricane Norbert Slams Baja Coast

The Category 2 storm hits Mexico's southern Baja California peninsula with 105 mph winds, forcing scores of people to flee their flooded homes. Hurricane Norbert is expected to cross the Gulf of California and then make a second landfall. A Mexican governor says officials in the region are "very worried."

Supporters in Minnesota boo their own candidate, Sen. McCain, after he describes his opponent as a "decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared of as president of the United States." North Korea Removed From Terror List

The Bush administration removes North Korea from the U.S. terrorism blacklist after the secretive nation agrees to open its nuclear facilities to international inspectors again. The switch is seen as an effort by the Bush administration to salvage a nuclear disarmament deal before he leaves office. It comes despite opposition internationally, and from American conservatives.
