Does this old woman really think she should be awarded 40,000 dollars for restraining arrest? I dont at all, and if you do than you are a ******* dumbass. This lady first of all was speeding which already set her up to be doing something illegal. If she was frustrated, thats fine, but that gave her no reason to fight and arfue his authority and give him disrespect. The officer gave her many warnings before she took her more illegal actions, so she truley deserved to be taken down the way she did. She should not be payed either, if all criminals can do what she did, than the police should give 40,000 to everybody. Just because she's old dosen't give her the privilage that shes higher than anybody else. She should be fined and thats it.

Your all right a lot of cops today have free raine to do what ever they want. I was reading almost the same thing in the news..Where in Scranton,Pa. 5 police officers shot and killed with 8 bullets A WOMAN VET because they were in her house and she had a kitched knife ointing at them. NOW get this 5 trained police officers were there and all of them shot her except one a couple times. The woman had a KITCHEN knife in her hand and was going after one of the officers>>>>> 5 of them...Scranton,Pa. last month. 5 trained cops couldn,t hit the knife with a balton, tazor,or just over power her. 5 cops. Instead they all shot her at least 2 times except for one. The saprime count better start to do some thing about Law enforcment in this country of THE FREE >>>SHE WAS A VET. This lady is lucky she didn,t get pulled over in Scranton,Pa. she would be dead.

The cop is a wimp!He is the type of guy that lets the real criminals go and ruffs up little old ladies. The cop should be fired, cause he can not even handle a 72 year old woman.

If he had man handled her to arrest her people would have complained. He tasered her and people complained. He asked her to step back or he'd taser her. She mocked him and then he asked again and she ignored him. Did she have it coming? Yes. Was she deserving of it? Maybe.. considering she was resisting. However he was in a lose lose and he had to make a choice. Was it the best? Eh.. either way it probably was the least messy. If he had tried to wrestler her down their had been just a big of an uproar.

Tazering that woman was extremely unacceptable. No excuses, the shock could have stopped her poor old heart. He had no right to taze her she didn't do anything to harm him so it didn't count as an assault. Bless her little old heart i hope she is ok.

does the video appear edited or is it just me? seems that the taser wasnt needed in this situation even though i think she may have learned a lesson not to be an ass to an ass-o with one. i wonder why they cut out some parts of it this time...

When Tasers were first introduced, they were supposed to be used in situations where the officer felt threaten or overwhelmed by the strength or violence of the individual. A Taser was supposed to be apply when all other measures failed in order to subdued a violent individual. Now days, we get reports of Tasers being used against children, mentally challenged individuals and elderly women because they didn't follow instructions by the officer.
