His statement Wednesday follows a cover story in Us Weekly magazine that reports a Los Angeles cocktail waitress claims she had a 31-month affair with the world's No. 1 golfer.
Allen Iverson signs with 76ers again
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Dust off the No. 3 jersey. Allen Iverson is with the 76ers again. Team president Ed Stefanski announced the signing Wednesday on the team's Web site. Iverson is expected to make his debut Monday at home against the Denver Nuggets.
Browns' Pool out with concussion
BEREA, Ohio (AP) — Browns starting safety Brodney Pool's season could be over and his career is in jeopardy after sustaining another concussion in Sunday's loss to Cincinnati. Pool, a five-year veteran, sustained at least his fourth known concussion in the third quarter against the Bengals. Coach Eric Mangini said Pool's status "is not looking very positive."
FSU's Bobby Bowden to end 44-year coaching career

(AP) — Bobby Bowden orchestrated one of the great runs in college football, building Florida State into a powerhouse that produced two national titles, dozens of All-Americans and some of the most memorable missed field goals ever. Bowden said Tuesday he will end his 44-year coaching career after the Seminoles play in a bowl game. Bowden was done in by a combination of off-field woes, too many defeats and coach-in-waiting Jimbo Fisher ready to take over.

AD begins contacting candidates for Notre Dame job
SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick could be hitting the road soon to find a replacement for fired coach Charlie Weis. Swarbrick said Tuesday night that he has started contacting candidates about the job and the search could take him out of town as early as Wednesday. He wouldn't comment on any of the names widely reported as possible replacements for Weis or give any other details about the search process.
