Why is the usa concerned with global warming and going "green" yet china and India can do what they will. I guess obama wants us to save the oil so china and india can have it.

PoliticalPost SAYS:"..From philosophical perpective earthquakes are neccessary nuisance..." This post still smells of the place you pulled it from. Most fresh water sources do NOT come from mountains or glaciers. Ever hear of the great lakes in the NE US? With the knowledge and technology available today there is no excuse for building houses that collapse on a fault line. And if that is your idea of a god, He can kiss my ass.

In the long run China and its primitive construction is more efficient than America. The people on site will need much less outside help to rebuild.

From philosophical perpective earthquakes are neccessary nuisance. From human time frame they are nuicance for obvious reasons for the destruction they do in their lifetime, but on eternal time scale they are absolutely essential for they produce earth movements that creates mountains which are responsible to produce glaciers and these melting glaciers produce fresh water supply to rivers for people living in the valleys and plains. China's earthquake happens due to Indian continental plate moving northward at the rate of few inches per year and colliding with old Asian plate but this is what made in 2 million years the Himalaya montain ranges that supplies water to over 2 billion people spread across from Afganistan , Indian subcontinent, South East Asia and China. Without water there would be no life so it is better to tolerate a little nuisance. The God knows what is Best.
