This is an obvious sign that the American society is in decline. There is no connection to reality in this over the hill deauification of the "Crotch Grabber." Are the Jacksons' going to guild the body in gold and offer pay for view ? Are the Jacksons' going to change Neverland to "Foreverland" with rooms devoted to (1) changing one's skin color from Negroid to white, (2) the great accomplishments of plastic surgury in parring down large negroid facial areas, (3) how to make a drug slury of illicit drugs, (4) how to use ficticious names to get "legal?" drugs, (5) the MJ 'throw up" or stomach pumping room, ( 6) the wine sipping room to prep those young males for MJ play time, (7) and that large room that kept the payoff money to silence all those young memories. Really America there are people that deserve deaufication in death: those that add to this society not those that abuse this society. MJ abused society, abused young children, and abused drugs not someone that the nat...

My "prejudices"? If I'm wrong about Jackson's charitable work I'm unaware of it. Nothing I've read indicates he's donated to any children's charities except a provision in his trust that gifts out after his kids are of age. Even if I'm wrong, I'd respect him more if he'd done what Bill and Melinda Gates did. They fund education NOW and have publically stated their kids will only get a couple mil apiece in their will. ========= MIDNIGHTANGELNO101:49 PMJul 05 2009Lbkinglet 01:25 PMJul 05 2009 Its also interesting that with 5 Shriners Childrens hospitals facing shutdowns MJ donated nothing to them in life and left nothing to them in his will. So much for his "love" of all the children.<----This is the part of your post that hit me as the most ludicrous. MJ has contributed to 39 charities, a majority of them children's charities but because he may not have contributed to the one YOU find most noteworthy, he doesn't care about children? Someone can donate millions to feed hungry

America is a sick nation ! To make Jackson a hero and, as some said, "the greatest entertainer ever", is total brain dead reactions. Jackson was a sicko, child molester, and simply pathetic in his life style. Should we be celebrating those realities?

Maybe you should start looking through your own prejudices and then you might be able to see more good in the world than what your shallow perceptions allow for now.

Wag827 11:16 AMJul 05 2009 I didn't notice the Jackson family, or MJ Family Trust, or the Rev Al stepping up to cover the whole or partial cost of this 3 ring circus.<----Just as I haven't seen LA stepping up and offering to turn over the tourist dollars they are getting to the Jackson children. There are already plenty of international tourists in the city for this and many many more to come. Get real, LA is MAKING PLENTY off the man's death.

I'd almost agree with you, but the evidence of the last 4-5 years clearly shows how he was courted by rich people hoping to make money off of him everywhere he went. That Bahraini businessman he stiffed wanted to set him up in Bahrain for a series of concerts, ditto the folks in London, and he could have had any door open to him in most countries if he'd wanted to work - which he only agreed to do in London to pay some of his bills. Had he died in another counrty I have no doubt someone would have pressured the family to bury him there and arranged the same kind of nonsense for a "memorial". ============ Lgn4107009:26 AMJul 05 2009A televised tribute to a child molester. Quite the opportunity for parents to teach their children a little something about true greatness and national priorities. Obviously the media smell advertiser money. They respond to public attitudes, they don't set them. But its very telling that so many Americans will make their wishes known over this weird drug addict but you can't get them to demand the same kind of mass national town hall coverage on climate change or health care or public education. I hope the folks in L.A. enjoy paying for all this, because as usual the Jackson family won't. Its also interesting that with 5 Shriners Childrens hospitals facing shutdowns MJ donated nothing to them in life and left nothing to them in his will. So much for his "love" of all the children.
