I too think it a shame that Karl Malden, born March 22, 1912, has been forgotten in this forum. In a career that spanned more than seven decades, he was featured in such classic films as "A Streetcar Named Desire", "On the Waterfront" and "One-Eyed Jacks". Among other notable film roles were "Baby Doll", "How the West Was Won" and "Patton". His best-known role was on television as Lt. Mike Stone in the 1970s crime drama, "The Streets of San Francisco". During the 1980s he was spokesman for American Express, reminding cardholders "Don't leave home without it". Mr. Malden died July 1, 2009 in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 97.

To Urbanhowl - my first nomination would be Nancy Pelosi followed closely by Harry Reid.

Who else would we like to see on this list? Nominations for politicians past and present. Post below please. Think of it as an election that people would actually vote for.
