To this day Lee can't see that his character Mookie made the wrong decision to throw the trash can through Sal's pizza shop window. That shop was the only thing in the crummy neighborhood that signified determination and hard work. Mookie was an unmotivated loser as Rosie let him know time and time again. You'd think Lee would have a little more insight into his characters and a little more moral compass about him today, but alas, oh no. Lee has learnd nothing from the very good movie he made years ago.
