It's "Reston" ebolavirus because it was first detected in Reston, Virginia USA. That doesn't mean that it comes from there. Because a virus is detected in a place does not mean it came from that place. Marburg virus was first detected in Germany, Does this mean that Germans are dirty or poor? The fact of the matter is that these viruses come from the wild places that people the world over are exploiting. They are being transported all over the world and can emerge anywhere, dirty or clean. And people, the next time you want to blame the third world for diseases remember, the worst and deadliest epidemics in history all began in good 'ole EUROPE and the US of A.

Philippines, Africa, Mexico, doesn't matter. People who live in filth spread disease. And don't give me that 'they are too poor to be clean' stuff. The poor piggies got the virus from people, not the other way around.
