It's not going away, so what about farming it - - Seaweed is used in millions of products and probably a few more can be thought of for its use. So, it helps our lives, people make money off of it and we can tear up as much of it from our coasts as the market demands.

Lets think about this... Miso soup is good for you and tasty, so there is one market for this Kelp. It grows an inch a day. how about Kelp Diesel Fuel. It might smell a littlle biriny, but gets good mpg...There has to be a market for this stuff.

Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the killer kelp is invading!!!! It's clearly a communist plot, or mabey it came in to the harbor attached to a container ship full of WalMart merchandise. I don't see a problem here, Bull kelp grows about a foot a day and we can't get enough of the stuff. I love diving in the kelp forests-they hold a lot of game fish to spear.
