Oh, I thought Michelle, her mother and the kids were only staying in France an extra day--the media seems to keep their agenda quite secret (probably doesn't want the taxpayer to know that AF One had to transport them to England.) The taxpayer is not only paying for the European vacation for Michelle & kids but also her mother!!! How can they justify this obscene spending of our hard earned money? We are not only supporting Michelle's mother for 4 years while she lives at the WH but now we are paying for her European vacation as well. I for one cannot afford this. Some don't seem to mind that these obtuse people are spending our tax dollars on their excessive extravagance. Why doesn't the media tell us how much we are paying for this?

Aside from that, let's talk about eloquence being a factor in an administration. As you can see, Obama is well-liked throughout the world. I would factor in his ability to speak AND to listen - and also to reach out. Bush didn't have that ability. So I ask you, is eloquence bad? And you can't compare Obama to Hitler. Hitler spoke with means to gather and hate. Do you see (and hear) that in Obama's words? Maybe your Sean Hannity in disguise? Michelle Obama and her daughters had to stay one extra day to SHOP. This president needs to lead by EXAMPLE. Tax payers simply cannot afford to pay extra money for the for the flight home and all that goes with it while good people are losing their homes and bailing out companies with their hard earned money. It was selfish and wrong for Michelle and her kids to stay the extra day.
