Our partner Spinner.com describes Dead Man's Bones' songs as "pretty great." "Think an even more funeral-obsessed Arcade Fire crossed with Nick Cave and 1950s monster movies -- but the project truly came together as a conceptual performance, pairing the haunted house on a hill painted backdrop, Gothic subject matter and costumed kids with the sheer undiluted joy emanating from everyone onstage," writes Spinner's Joshua Ostroff. Gosling founded Bones with good buddy Zach Shields. He says the band's sound comes from a very creepy place. "My parents moved from a house they thought was haunted," Gosling explained last week to the Vancouver Sun. "We used to live by a graveyard and they would send me out to play in it. Zach was in therapy because he was obsessed with ghosts."
It's not every day that you can catch an Oscar winner taking a chance with something completely different. Keep track of Bones' tour dates so you can see Gosling LIVE in action for yourself.
