I must admitI never read Goldhagen's "work." I did read his biography and analysis of his theory. Most experts agree they are just that, theories that cannot be substantiated with ANY primary sources or ANY real evidence. Leave it to a bunch of hatemongers to promote anything that justifies their blind hatred.

About the "miles of files" at Baden Arolsen opened in May 2007, if there was any evidence of mass gassings, why hasn't it been released yet??? And some forensic evidence would be invaluable to complement all the liewitness testimony. If you question the existance of gas chambers, you are a Holocaust Denier, akin to practicing witchcraft a few centuries ago. If they never existed, one asks why were we lied to, and what was the purpose behind the lies?In Germany,if you declare that 25 million Jews died in the Holocaust, you are OK, but if you say that only one million died, you will be imprisoned.

What a pathetic lot you all are. The systemic and deliberate murder of Jews by Nazis during WWII is undeniable. How very sad you all feel compelled to question the manner in which the Germans went about it. Elie Wiesel's account was right on the money and verified by a survivor in my family. Now that a hate-monger has put forth his untenable theories in a book, you think your pathetic position has merit? Think again. A recently de-classified cache of Nazi documents proves you all so very wrong. I'd stack the testimony of thousands of survivors and miles of Nazi documents against anything Mr. Golhagen has written.

Atzmonglenn, how very impressive. Too bad the German's documented their own barbarism so well that nay-sayers really appear as stupid and as hateful as they are. What could be said about people who are so willing to adopt the hateful lies of Holocaust deniers in the face of over-whelming evidence to the contrary? I feel both sickened and sorry for you.
