It's seemed like a long wait for Adam Lambert enthusiasts, but the popular 'American Idol' runner-up returns with a powerhouse new single and video, 'Time For Miracles.' The video, from Columbia Pictures' end-of-days action film '2012,' is a treat two times over - fans can catch a glimpse of the glam rocker singing his heart out, and check out images from the upcoming movie (in theaters Nov. 13). Watch Adam Lambert sing 'Time For Miracles' in his new video:

Lia Vollack, president of worldwide music for Sony Pictures Entertainment, said in a statement, "Adam's video is remarkable. It's a great companion to Roland Emmerich's film - we're thrilled that Adam is a part of this motion picture."

Lambert's debut album, which isn't released until Nov. 24, has performed well in Amazon.com sales, with orders bigger than the Beatles and Madonna, the New York Post reports.

Lambert, 27, joins other successful runner-ups like Jennifer Hudson, Clay Aiken and Chris Daughtry, who have gone on to overshadow the winners of their respective seasons.
