SEATTLE, Washington (May 8) -- What started as a romantic Southeast Asia vacation for a Seattle couple ended with Ryan Kells preparing Friday to return from Bangkok carrying the ashes of his fiancee to give to her family in California.

Burn the body, burn the evidence. Autopsy would have told alot. Thai officials trying to CYA. Tourism is at stake here (yes money, KISS). Start to investigate all the drink areas, legal and illegal, and see what happens. You'll have them all over you. Viruses baloney. You would have blood, and worse. My mom knew someone in childhood who took a drink from someone and she ended up being a zombie. Someone does not like you, guess what? Jealousy is a strong motivator.

It had to have been a poisoning of some type. I would hazard a guess at a drink sold on the street or small bar, made with some kind of machine oil or worse. Currently, some twenty or so people have been poisoned by such drinks. In Spain, many years ago the same thing happened, with the oil introduced to make it cheaper and more of it. In China, same thing, and those people were seriously prosecuted, as in Spain. Imagine a car coolant in a drink and the damage it does to the body. In Spain, there was a street made drink called quemada (burned) I took, and I was lucky it was okay. NEVER BUY A LOCAL UNKNOWN DRINK. Is it worth your life? If it does not come from a sealed bottle, forget it!!! In these countries (particularly asian), you die, that is it. By the way, Caine's death is suspicious to me.

I'm hoping that they are pulling out all the stops in investigating the hotel. The place may not be up to health codes. Not to mention I find it very strange that another woman died staying at the same hotel in simular circumstances. It just doesn't add up. I am saddened by the news & I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?.... does that mean that if you accidentally spray hairspray in your eyes and go staggering about, fumble onto an air-strip and get your head, arms and left foot chopped off while blindly tripping into the whirring blades of a twin engine plane, that would be "FOR THE BEST?" How could this possibly be considered to have worked out for the "BEST?"

Three days on and people are still asking why this young woman was cremated. If she died of indeterminate cause, then cremation would be the only way to prevent transmission of pathogens during tranfer of her remains back to her family. Second is the cost, which has been mentioned many times here in the past few days. As for the third world bashing, people DIE of food poisoning and other even unknown causes in the west (including the US) as well. It isn't just in less developed parts of the world where viral and bacterial strains evolve and become more dangerous and resistant to either the human immune system or meds. Seriously, some of you people need to go back to 3rd grade and finish your education.

Improperly prepared puffer fish can be poisonous, but I prefer to believe that this woman died of analyphactic shock...perhaps a bee sting or a peanut. If not treated immediately, one can die...my cousin almost died on Thanksgiving, but they got him to an emergency room...turns out it was a bee sting!!

If one is half panicked, one will do whatever to try to solve the situation. If I am deathly ill, and the only conveinent way to transport me is a shopping cart, I won't exactly mind if someone puts me in one. Do I care HOW I get to a hospital if I'm deathly ill?
