(Feb. 17) - A team led by a researcher from the University of California-Los Angeles said that Osama bin Laden is probably living in a walled compound in the Pakistani town of Parachinar, near the Afghanistan border. USA Today has the story.
The researchers based their conclusion on geographic analytical tools used to locate fugitive criminals and endangered species.
The theories used to determine bin Laden's whereabouts found that he would be in one of 26 towns within a 20-mile distance of Tora Bora.
"I've never really believed the sitting-in-a-cave theory. That's the last place you would want to be bottled up," the study's lead geographer told USA Today.
