Patrick Swayze's wife
Lisa Niemi will give the first one-on-one interview since her husband's death on the
Oprah Winfrey Show this Friday,
PEOPLE reports.
Swayze passed away at age 57 this September after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Niemi, his wife of 34 years, will open up to Oprah about their life together, and what it was like to lose him. She will also discuss the book they co-wrote together, 'The Time of My Life.'
Niemi and Swayze met as teenagers at his mother's dance studio, and their marriage became one of the most enduring relationships in Hollywood.
Niemi also participated in a round-table discussion called "Grief, Healing and Resilience" at the Women's Conference in Long Beach, California on Tuesday.

A 19-year-old Swayze met Lisa Niemi in 1970 at his mother's dance studio and she immediately brought the cocky hunk and his ego down to earth. "She didn't buy any of my nonsense," he's said of their early days. "We spent half our dates in total silence as she wouldn't talk to me if she thought I was putting on an act."
