The 34-year-old woman, Melanie Arnold, told The Associated Press on Thursday that the girl is her daughter. Arnold denied she was screaming, and said her daughter thought she heard a slap and believed an assault was happening."Instead of asking what was going on, they assumed and took matters into their own hands," Arnold said. "Now they have to learn a lesson."_______Ok, if there is ever a next time they should just let you die. Is that the lesson you would like them to learn? Yes, it may have been overkill but they were scared and oh my god..cared about you...what terrible kids!

One of the teens beat the 25-year-old man with a bat and others punched him, police said. He suffered a black eye and several bruises.______And a severe case of blue balls.

The morals in America are a thing of the past. I think it's sick that a mother is screwing her daughters ex boyfriend. I'm willing to bet that the daughter knew perfectly well that they were having sex. The mother of her daughters ex boyfriend is a low class American trash *****. Those teenagers should have beaten up the mother too. In Iran they would have stoned her to death for that.

There is not a court on earth that will convict the teens of a criminal offense if they were acting in the good faith belief that the mother of one of them was being assaulted. Mistakes happen and they are not all criminal offenses. How many people, having just committed assault and then being confronted about it by a superior force (or police), are going to tell the truth? None. How many women whom are domestically abused, attempt to defend the abuser even from the police? As a public-safety professional for 19 years, I can tell you: IT IS ALL. Now, a civil suit against the mother... I know a guy who got shot by police because they saw him remove what they thought was a gun from his car. It was a soldiering iron. No charges filed. But the lawsuit paid off his house!

And the moral here is: Karl Malone should never have retired from the Utah Jazz. I agree, GBFLD.

If her daughter thought her mother was being hurt by her boyfriend, then why didn't she just call police?? Sounds like this girl just wanted a reason to beat the shit out of her mothers boyfriend that she doesn't like....I hope they all learn a big lesson out of this. Punks!
