Hopper Penn, the 16-year-old son of actors Sean Penn and his soon-to-be-ex-wife Robin Wright Penn, was arrested at his Malibu high school last week, RadarOnline is reporting. Because Hopper is a minor, the reason for his arrest hasn't been released by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Whether or not charges have been filed against Penn is also unknown.According to a senior L.A. County Sherrif's source, Hopper was taken into custody while he was at school late last week.
The Penn family is currently in a tumultuous time, as parents Sean and Robin are going through divorce proceedings. Penn had twice filed divorce in the past, and withdrew them both times. This time around, she's made it clear that she intends on going through with the divorce.
In a recent interview with Redbook, Robin said that she "turned down so many films because I wanted to be a mom that they stopped offering. I gave up a lot for my kids, but I didn't give up ... I'm very content with the way it all turned out." She went on to say that she has "no regrets for my life that has been lived. New beginnings, definitely. For me, my career too. My kids are older now."
