Poor research - there was an article about this in the woman's (also my) hometown newspaper. She was taking care of the injured baby squirrel and didn't want to leave it alone. It has since been let back into the wild.

people should watch these guys more often,We ended up with one that our cat brought in.And we went on and raised him by bottle feeding and once he was able to go out on his own we let him.Now he still comes back around and even brings his girl friend with him.We named him Zoey they are funny to watch.Thanks Joe
