Thank you Mr. Colbert. I want to thank you for remembering our young men and women who are so far away from the family and friends that love them. Thank you for bringing a few deserved moments of smiles and laughter to our military. Please pray for our troops and their families. A military mom

Are all you right ringers a bunch of stupid racist hicks? Apparantly you miss the whole point of the show is entertainment. Entertaining troops fighting a war your brain dead president got us into. God bless the troops and hopefully they get home safe and soon. Now you better run off to your trailer, they are trying to take your guns away!!!

Colbert endeared milions with his sense of humor. He should be nominated as Man of the Year by some magazine or something. I just wonder, Who paid for the haircut? In my experience a long time ago, a different war. We had to pay a dollar a week for a buzz cut, half went to the haircutter, half went to the Company Commander. And Army pay as it was, who could afford it. But there was justice, the day the commanding officer was to leave, he had everyone take another haircut, and the barber gave the CO a last shave and missed and cut the sucker good about 10 stitches! What an accident.

My son just got back from Iraq. He loves The Colbert Show and laughed his ass off watching him last night. He leans conservetive in his politics, but he enjoys Colbert's humor. Why do some people have to be so obnoxious about their opinions. The show entertained the troops and that is all this is about. Both Obama and McCain have had a good sense of humor in an effort to boost troop morale. You don't have to like either one of them to appreciate that.

The soldiers were laughing and having such a good time when Obama told the General to shave Colbert's head. Our soldiers need a good laugh. Laughter helps heal their sorrows and has proven beneficial to people's health. Nice Job on Obama, Colbert, and the General's part in putting joy into the hearts of our solderis.

TUTU3840 maybe so but look at all the troops in the audience THRILLED that he payed a visit. Celebrities and entertainers do this from time to time, and I've heard first hand from military folks that this is always very very appreciated and respectable. Ratings or not, it was good of him to pay them a visit.

REDBULL2531 it's comedy...get over it...leave it to the Obama bashers to find some wrong in this. Amazing. I doubt you even watched it - Obama even poked fun of his own big ears! A little humor never hurt!
