BAGHDAD -The U.S. military says an American soldier in Iraq has died of injuries unrelated to combat.
The military says the soldier was assigned to the Multi-National Division-South, which operates south of Baghdad.
It says the soldier died Sunday and an investigation is under way.
The death raises to at least 4,366 the number of U.S. military personnel who have died in Iraq since the war began in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count.
