I just saw this article. I don't know, maybe it's me, but urinating on Old Faithful does not really seem like a punishable offense to me. It's kind of like pizzing in the ocean, which people have been doing for centuries, especially men people. It's not like the employees peed on the shroud of Turin or the Koran or the Bible or something religious, which would be a desecration. No, peeing on Old Faithful is simply amusing. If that's all the National Parks people have to worry about, I'd say they need more to do.

Stupid, yes. Worth firing, no. I agree with a previous post, it's a guy thing. Guys like pissing outside, anywhere. Just something nice about it. Now, the danger involved with pissing into a geyser would negate most sane men or boys from pulling out their willy. These two were not too bright.

I agree that the firing was warranted. They should be fired simply for getting too close to the geyser. They are all lucky none of them got hurt. I'm betting there was alcohol involved here. It's not as if peeing in Old Faithful is going to hurt it somehow. But I can see it as disrespectful behavior. I was lucky enough to visit the park as a Geology student, and we were taken to areas of the park that were off limits to the public. It is a very beautiful place. I see someone said they'd jump in the hot pools there. Gotta be careful on that one, most would boil you alive. We witnesses someone's dog jump into one and get boiled up like a hot dog.

These aren't boys or kids...they're 23 year old men who are old enough to know better, not to mention that they are United States Park Service personnel, which means that they are supposed to uphold a higher standard than tourists who visit the park. Park Service people are supposed to help preserve and protect our national parks and treasures, not piss on them like they are a pile of trash, like these men have done. If Teddy Roosevelt were alive today, he'd skin them alive for what they'd done. He worked hard to save this part of America so that children and their children could see what a beautiful, wonderful, amazing country we have, and these guys go and piss on it and think they're getting away with it. Imagine what they've already gotten away with these past few years they've been employed. Banning is tame. They should be in prison for defacing government property!

Well, there aren't many bushes around to pea on. But still I think I could find someplace better than a geyser. . .kids are just stupid.

Hahaha...nothing like stating the obvious: "The geyser was not erupting at the time." Can you imagine if it had? .....weiner roast
