3. Hi Sam, I am a C-span junkie and a caller asked the moderator which party controlled Congress when the Iraq war resolution was passed? Who authored the resolution? When was the resolution voted on? Who brought it to the floor of the Senate for debate?

4. HOLY HELL IN FLORIDA'S ELECTIONS 2006!!
Recent events in Florida election for this November has brought rumors that Republicans will fight like a "Junk Yard Dog (all out viciously)" to win the elections of governor and congress.
The two main events are that, 1. the Democrats have picked a popular Black Male running mate for Lt. Governor. In Florida 2006, Democrats have chosen a Black male, Daryl Jones to run as Lt. Governor! (ALEX LEARY and JENNIFER LIBERTO , Davis picks ex-lawmaker, military man. St. Petersburg Times, September 15, 2006) Obviously this is not only to choose the best man for the job, but to optimize the turn out of the Black voters who are traditionally highly Democratic and 2. secondly the event that the controversial Katharine Harris has won the primary and will be running for the Senate against the Popular Democratic Senator Nelson!! (Jim Ash , Poll: Nelson still has big lead over Harris, FLORIDA CAPITAL BUREAU CHIEF , Article published Sep 28, 2006)
As you recall Florida is the "Bell Weather" state for elections 2006 and 2008. Further,, the records show that Florida was the state which demonstrated the greatest voting irregularities in 2000, and 2004 and the Florida governor's race in 1997 and 2002. The word on the street is that with the present placing of the Dibold Touch Screen Voting equipment (Evan Derkacz, Steal this election (video), September 15, 2006, ttp://www.alternet.org/bloggers/evan/41675/) The Republicans have and will use this compliment to rig the elections to come. Rumors are that groups of activist from all over will again be rallied. The Banana Republic types from N.Y and riggers of the 2006 Mexican elections will be shipped in again to intimidate the voting official as was done to the Miami Election Supervisor's Staff, plus the brigade of attorneys will be brought back to threaten the poll staff and Black voters, in addition there will be the regular misleading leading and bogus information circulated to minority voters again. The free for all will over overwhelm the sensitivities of those who try to be within the law and of moral fiber!!! (Dan Balz and Zachary A. Goldfarb, Major Problems At Polls Feared Some Officials Say Voting Law Changes And New Technology Will Cause Trouble, Washington Post , September 17, 2006;)
Democrats seem all too reluctant to go on the viscous energetic attack which is necessary to fight against such as vicious criminal assault against this type rigging. They are more energetic in trying to demonstrate position in relation to the political right and the left when what is needed is massive doses of the confrontational fight shown by President "Bill" Clinton in the interview with the Right Wing Republican FOX TV Host who was interviewing him this past week!! (GLENN GARVIN, Clinton's fireworks shock Fox anchor, TV COMMENTARY, Sep. 26, 2006 , ggarvin@MiamiHerald.com ) Democrats must be willing to go for the juggler and challenge the very base of those who are less shy about using underhanded, low life, vicious, criminal activities to win at any cost.
In elections 2000 and 2004 neither "Al" Gore or Kerry showed that guts to go for the fight which necessary to get a recount of the rigged elections which took their wins. They showed the gracious loser attitude that only gets you a kick in the rear from a group of people who are without any demonstrated moral or law abiding character.
Democrats better find out where old Rove and Cheney are doing their business and what are their present devious battle plans!!

5. DO YOU THINK THAT THE ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINES WERE TAMPERED WITH TO REELECT HIM IN THE LAST ELECTION AND DO YOU THINK THAT THEY WILL BE USED ILEGALLY TO HELP THE REPUBLICANS IN NOVEMBER AND SHOULD THEY BE ALLOWED TO BE USED WITHOUT SOME WAY TO VARIFY THE RESULTS OF THE VOTE.

7. I just can't believe the attacking that is being done by the Democrats. Can't they win by the plans that they might have? Now they have attacked the personal faith of many Republicans and it's starting to really rock the country. It will not be a positive for the Democrats to continue down this road of attack.

8. Has any mainstream media people ever bothered to read "The New Pearl Harbor" by David Ray Griffin, and if so, why have no mainstream programs ever bothered to interview him, if only to try and shoot down his premise. Is everybody owned body and soul by Rupert? Pose the questions, dig up the witnesses and FBI agents he references. For the true Gods sake, see if maybe the man is right.

9. Is there any Federal Legislators or candidates who is willing to sponsor an amendment or bill that requires all Legislators to personally pay into and participate in the Social Security Plan upon their retirement in lieu of the full salary (exhorbitant) plan that they have now?

10. I have been saying for months that George Bush has a drinking problem. Remember the 'pizza choking' story a couple of years ago when he had the bump on his head? Go over that story and ask yourself if it makes any sense... He would have been a dead man if that story were true. Think about it, and remember he is the president, if he had got choked and fell, it would have made headlines around the world and someone would have gotten a big raise for saving his life..., but there was not one word of it in the media...
So I'm watching TV when the Florida Foley Folly broke a couple of weeks ago, they showed pictures of Foley walking, lots of footage of Foley walking.
I kept watching him walk and make those 'drunken' guestures, (waving etc) and was struck by how similar this walk and the guestureing was to that of George Bush!!
My question;
Has there been any talk in Washington recently of somehow having Bush tested for alcohol and drugs use? Do you think that he is now a practicing alcoholic?
(It could explain his eratic behavior, the 'school sit in' on 9/11/01 and his unprecidented pre-emptive strike on Iraq...

11. Why isnt the Abramoff/ Scanlon 'scandal' being investigated more fully? If it is true that Abramoff visited the White House over 20 times, and Pres. Bush does not seem to remember this man, what was Abramoff doing there? Please refer to The Broken Branch, by Norm Ornstein of the American Enterprise Institute for more info on this topic.

12. It seems much of the public does not trust our government in terms of having the public in it's best interest (rather than corporations), doesn't trust our voting system and is not being served fairly by the media.....My question to you is have you ever felt like it was this bad before and do you think we'll recover?

13. Sam I thought you were dead, or maybe I just hoped you were, are you still taking goverment money for your ranch, seems liberals always take free shit, and sam, do you think the party of death, which is led by and infested with traitors, felons, perverts and misfits, (sounds like the kennedy clan)will actually win any seats in congress. Their new motto is, VOTE DEMOCRAT, WE HAVE NO VALUES, STANDARDS OR SHAME

14. Mr. Donaldson,
The last 6 years in this country have been terrible under our current President, his administation and the Republican party being the majority in all realms of politics. There have been no checks and balances.
Here in Florida programs for people who need them have been cut, such as health care for the indigent, poor and elderly.
My question and main concern is how do you feel about the bills that have so far been passed insuring a honest count of our votes and allowing all who are eligible to vote to have their votes counted?
Senator John Kerry presented congress a bill for immediate emergency paper ballots, in response Congress adjourned for 1 of their many breaks/ vacations.
Here is the link explaining and asking people to pass the emergency paper ballot issue.
http://www.democrats.com/peoplesemailnetwork/86
THERE ARE SO MANY PROBLEMS IN OUR COUNTRY, BUT I FEEL THAT COUNTING OUR VOTES PROPERLY AND HAVING THE PERSON(S) WE THE PEOPLE ELECT IN OFFICE I9S WHERE WE MUST START!
I emailed my state representatives about this and so far I received a response from Ginny Brown-Waite stating that some bills had already been passed or are being considered. (This is like the fox watching the hen house).
This response seemed to be a form letter as she answered some questions I did not ask.
I feel that all of the elections since 2000 have been illegal due to votes not being properly counted and certain people not being allowed to vote! I believe the outcome of many elections would have been different.
A computer program that counts votes can be hacked into and manipulated! The diebold company for one. http://www.diebold.com/
I am NOT alone in my feelings about the outcome of the previous elections.
I want/need to know what to do to prevent stolen elections again and I believe our news media needs to make others more aware of this HORRENDOUS problem!
The response from Ms. Waite follows:
Congressman Tom Feeney (R-FL) introduced H.R. 3910, the Verifying the Outcome of Tomorrow's Elections Act of 2005 . Congressman Rush Holt (D-NJ) introduced H.R. 550, the Voter Confidence and Increased Accessibility Act of 2005 . Both pieces of legislation would enact measures relating to a paper record, identification requirement, and tabulating votes in an election.
Preserving the fairness and integrity of public elections is essential to the preservation of our democracy. For this reason, the State of Florida has invested millions in new voting technology that is both compliant with the Help America Vote Act and passes one of the nation's strictest certification processes.
Specifically relating to Congressman Feeney's proposal, you mentioned the bill would disenfranchise millions of elderly, poor, minority, and disabled voters who lack the time, means, and physical ability to make the trek and wait in long lines at the Department of Motor Vehicles to obtain a state issued ID. Individuals already must have a state issued ID to obtain a voter registration card in the majority of states. Additionally, you can access several of the services provided at the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles online, and if you would like to avoid the cost of a driver's license, an ID card costs $3.
H.R. 3910 does not violate the pre-requisite that every vote must be recorded and counted accurately and transparently. This legislation requires each state to conduct regular tests of the equipment used to tabulate votes in voting systems to ensure that a system meets specified error rate standards, and that the equipment works correctly. The bill also requires a state to permit a representative of each political party with a candidate on the ballot used at a precinct during an election to observe the tabulation of the votes cast on the voting system, and the certification of such tabulation.
You also favored the provision in Congressman Holt's bill that the verified paper record is the official record in the event of a recount, challenge, or discrepancy. Congressman Feeney's legislation also requires production of a permanent, individually verifiable paper record of each vote cast.
H.R. 550 and H.R. 3910 have been referred to the House Committee on Administration but have not been considered. Although I am not a member of this committee, please know I will keep your views in mind should the House of Representatives consider one of these measures. We must enact policies so that American citizens will uphold their faith in our election process.
Throughout my tenure in public service, I have always kept an open door and an open dialogue with my constituents. As the 109th Congress addresses the many challenges facing our nation, I hope you will continue to share your thoughts and views with me. Accordingly, I encourage you to visit my website at www.house.gov/brown-waite to email me and find useful information about our 5th Congressional District.
It is my honor and privilege to serve the people of Florida 's 5th Congressional District and my offices and staff are here to provide you with any assistance you may need.
Sincerely,
Ginny Brown-Waite
Member of Congress
Thank You very much,
Mr. Donaldson

15. Sam, Why haven't any of the big media folks ever had the courage to dig to the bottom of the Jeff Gannon mystery? 216 visits to the WH and for what exactly? I'd say the taxpayers deserve to know what they're paying for..... Thanks.
