136. Mr Donaldson,
Why didn't the press give more coverage to the "Gerrymandering" bill that was passed. I find it appaling that States can change the boundaries whenever they want. Seems to me that this gives rise to sucicide for our policical system. Favoring one party over the other. Also, can the "swift boat" type money be stopped? Here in oregon, the ads are out and out lies or are so distorted you cannot recognize what is really true. I am ashamed that our demoracy has sunk to this kind of low in order to gain absolute power. Shame on us!

138. Sam, I get the impression that the mainstream media
often essentially lie by ommission. Example: ANNA
DIGGS TAYLOR. If I listenened only to the main-
stream media I would think that Judge Taylor is a
reasoned and neutral jurist who decided the NSA
case on legal merits. However, other information
which was not reported by the mainstream media
would seem to indicate that she is a left wing
ideologue who probably had her decision three
quarters written before the case was even argued.
Why was information about the judges strong left
leanings not reported by any mainstream media?

139. Did official documents pertaining to Bush's military service manage to "dissapear", and were new documents created that embodied the essence of the truth, but yet were not the official documents, and was this the undoing of someone's career, trying to expose the truth about this dasterdly president?

140. Neither party seems to care about the middle class. What are they doing to help the middle class with regards to taxes. I make a good living, raised 3 children on my own and now that I am 54 and single, even with my W-4 stating single, no deductions, I still end up paying taxes while the rich pay next to nothing.

141. I'm 73, and lived through the stories of world war 1, then grade school through world war 2, and joined the Air Force through the Korean War, and I know the politicans of today would have been arrested for Treason for not supporting our Government during War time. The whole Democratic Leadership has been spurting Treasonous Comments to acquire power they think they are entitled too. Let's keep the Democratic out of office. Just send them all to Iraq to teach them how important our work there is. They are looking for Power and Rewards instead of FREEDOM that the present administration gives us all. They are not Americans, they commit treason every day.

142. Do you think, if the Democrats have more seats in the Senate, they will be able to right the wrongs military personnel and their families are suffering from the military's Tricare Insurance? Why is it when there is a problem with it everyone- including JAG officers- tell people to contact their Congreesman when clearly it seems the Democratic Senators are the only ones trying to resolve issues for the soldiers? Also, why is it this issue is not more important in this political race? Have Americans, politicians, the President, turned a blind eye to the issues facing military families medically and financially because of the lack of care from the insurance?

144. My Comments are on not only the elections. But how they are carried out.
Our politicians are spending far too much on political campaigns. I have the suggestion which I think the American Public will support and be thankful for in the long run.
First Limit television time to One month prior to elections.
Next allow any and all Candidates to speak on their platform only. No mud slinging or degrading their opponents.
No negative advertising.
All Advertising can only be done about their ideas, stands on topic of interest.
NO special interest money from any group. NONE
This should be done for all public offices, from the Presidency to the local politicians.
It's time for a change in Politicans as we know them. It's time Americans stood up and said enough of the old guard and the old ideas.
Stand up and be counted
As for lobbyist, get rid of them. They are useless people who are only out to help themselves. OUR Government is for the people and by the people, not lobbyist.

145. Hello Sam. Here's my question. Why are the network news shows and most news papers so outwardly biased? Why can't we watch or read the truth about any given situation? I thought that was the purpose of these organizations. To afford the public information and FACTS about current events. We criticized the Soviet Union and other communist countries for thier governmentally controlled media yet we have a very similar situation here in this country. Our media is not controlled by our government but by irresponsible individuals/groups with specific agendas. In either situation the TRUTH and FACTS are not relayed to the citizens of these countries. Instead all we are allowed to read or watch is the propaganda these networks give us. At least we now have an opposing viewpoint (Fox News) and so like our government we can hopefully have some checks and balances. By the way, if you think this is just hot air, then please explain to me why Katie Couric is telling (or insinuating) that the U.S. President can and does control gasoline prices at the pump all over the country? This is definitely the wackiest conspiracy theory to come out in a while. What baffles me is, how does it make it into a national news show? PLEASE MA'AM, JUST THE FACTS.

146. We do need to find a way to make sure that the voting is not tempered with. What would be your best suggest at this point, and why is it that Mr. Bush is can make up the rules as he goes instead of being held response for his actions. What do you think.

147. Sam,
Why is the media not covering the incredible economy? Could it be bias against Bush?

149. I am worried about the way the Democrats keep insisting on our government provide secret information to the public that also is heard by all our enemies around the world. They learn our strengths and most of all our vulnerabilities. It seems they are working to assist our enemies. Do the Democrats want power that bad? Regardless whether we agree with everything our president is doing, we should honor and respect him.
