466. Thank you Mr. Donaldson for allowingme to comment and ask a question.
The election is just 17 days away, and unless something spectacular happen in IRAQ that has not happen in the last 3-1/2 years, the Democrats will be in the cat-bird seat in Congress.
My Question: Mr. Donaldson can you give me your thoughts as to what is going through President BUSH's mind, if he has to (work)deal with those CUT AND RUN, Un-American, No-Iraqi-Plan, Defeatist, Congressional Investiagtive Chairmanss, Flip-Flop, that Woman who will be House Speaker, The other people who don't think like me, Higher Tax D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T-S?

467. When fear and/or religion is used to make a point, by either party, by anyone, I think they cannot be trusted. What do you say?

468. Sam: They don't make them like you, or Huntley or many of the other hard news guys. It seems the current crop of "tv newscasters" went to the same diction school. Curriculum: The first day one fills their mouth with marbles. Each day they lose a marble. When they've lost all their marbles, they are a certified "tv newscaster." They are all from the cookie cutter school of journalism. Haven't a clue what is news and what is entertainment. Sole objectvie. Numbers and trying to be first with a story. Quoting unidentified sources like "a source close to the president..the butler." Many make drastic errors in grammar. Like, irregardless. I've even hear youse guys. Without a teleprompter, most are speechless. Absolutely cannot ad lib. And, most are neutered and politically correct and do not want to offend anyone. Nobody has the balls Golda Mier had. She made news. Nobody around today can make her famous quote, "I'd rather be feared and alive than admired and dead." The winning slogan of the National Liars Contest 100 years ago was "I once knew an honest politician." It would today. For news, give me an ugly or homely person with chutzpah, who can ask tough questions and not take no comment for an answer. Today's crop of "newscasters" should resign, return to their cosmetic surgeons and make up artists, get redone to the way they looked before, study real newspeople from from the 30's, 40's and 50's. However, since everything is market driven, these lightweights are around...proving once again what H.L. Mencken said years ago, "never underestimate the inelligence of the American public." The tv networks never learn. Katy Couric is a prime example. Nice person. Too syrupy sweet for hard news. Good for interviewing lame brain personalities with soft questions. For hard news, give me the Bad, the ugly, the boat rocker with a nose for news, an ear for listening, a sincere heart and a brain that can make snap decisions.

472. Per the Kiplinger Letter if the "Party of No", (no pl;an to save social security, no plan to end the war in Iraqi, etc), takes over their greates power: Saying no. No to a permanent repeal of the estate tax-tax us once while alive and again at death!Ni ti naking even some of the Bush administration tax cuts premanent. No to expanding oil and gas exploration in Alaska or offshore. No free trade agreement with Peru, Colombia & others. Is this really what you want? The tax cuts have produced record revenue for the Federal and State coffers and a bombing economy---you want and end to this?

473. Hi Sam,
Do you approve of the "news" today ?
there is a movie that pulled at my heart, and made me remember who we were... and I wish we could be there again. If "you", need to remember who we were, watch "THE DISH", put out by an Austrailian film company...Not an American film company, sad
but the time's of "hollywood " Is a memory ,best viewed when Cagney,Stewart, and Reagan along with Henry Fonda,John Wayne ..to name a few were hero's.
And America was one Nation under "God".
Sorry to ramble on , but can you take a critical look at the news of today, and give it high mark's ?
I think If your honest, you and I know The news
is slim pickins ....
God Bless America...We vote from the heart.

474. Ever since I can remember politics (I'm 48 years old) the minority party of the time has always sought to regain power by slinging mud and cries fowl when it comes back at them. Both parties spend more time bashing, stonewalling, bickering ect. each other than doing the damn job they are elected to do. Both are equally guilty, corrupt and insensitive and its time to send the jackass back to barn and the elephant back to the circus. I wish the media would abandon these clowns and support real people, who care about their country and help bring in honesty in government. Expose the K street crowd for what they are and expose the dirty money they weld power for. Us common folks are fed up with lot and also with credability the media anymore telling us how to think.

475. Senator John Kerry presented congress a bill for immediate emergency paper ballots, in response Congress adjourned for 1 of their many breaks/ vacations.
Do you think this reperesents the end of real elections or did they end along time ago?

477. Mr Donaldson,
I submit to you that it isn't George W Bush who consistently lies to us, but rather the Fourth Estate. I rememeber when journalism was a respected profession. I recall the days when journalists restricted their reporting to facts ie. who, what, when, where, how etc and if the facts weren't there, the story wasn't told.
You know, the days when at least TWO sources were required in ADDITION to supporting evidence before unleashing a vilifying diatribe on anyone, especially a president!
I chastise myself routinely for expecting anything other than total and complete bias from any of you liberal banner waving propagandists. However, I confess that within the deep recesses of my soul I occasionally pray that at least some of you cherish your country more than your party.
Please impart even a mustard seeds worth of evidence to inspire some hope for those of us who consider almost all of you to be hopelessly worthless when it comes to your veracity.
I won't hold my breath.

478. During the Presidental debates all of the moderaters except you remained neutral. You
however begin to ask Gore GOP questions,do you think your GOP views should have been allowed?

479. Why is it that Democrats down Republicans for doing the same things that they have traditionally been supportive of? I am speaking of "gays" having contact with other "gays". The Democrats come across as hypocritical in their attacks on the Republican Party since a major part of their platform is the promotion of "gay" and lesbian rights. I do not support these so-called rights as I find them to be both repulsive and immoral. It comes acroos as "the pot calling the kettle black" to me and makes me even more determined not to vote for any Democratic canditate in the upcoming elections>

480. Why are so many Americans behaving so self centered, selfish, and self destructive, as they appear to be supporting the immoral viewpoints of democrats. They don't seem to want to fight terrorism. They don't want to help Iraq establish the same freedoms Americans have. They refuse to admit that our economy is the best in history. They want to continue to murder babys in the womb. They live in self denial. Could it be that Satan has taken control and we are a doomed nation.
Do you think the brainwashing by the news media which thrives on the bad, is largely responsible or do you think that most Americans have just become basically lazy and immoral?
