481. HI SAM......WOULD YOU AGREE THAT IF AMERICANS FALL FOR THE FEAR MONGERING SCARE TACTICS OF THE BUSH ADMISISTRATION AGAIN THAT OUR DEMOCRACY IS LOST?.......... I THINK THAT THIS IS WHAT WALTER CRONKITE MAY HAVE SEEN DURING HIS COMMENTS IN A LARRY KING INTERVIEW WHERE HE, IN DIPLOMATIC TERMS, SAID WHAT A LOT OF US ARE SEEING VERY CLEARLY, NAMELY THAT AMERICA HAS BECOME A NATION OF VERY STUPID PEOPLE AND THAT THE DEMOCRACY AND THE CONSTITUTION ARE, THEREFORE, IN PERIL.........THANKS, DAVID, SAN FRANCISCO CA.

482. Just a question... the newest republican ad has osama bin ladin as the biggest threat... why then has not his capture been the biggest priority? Who is kidding who?
Thanks for all you do.

483. Why should canidate's still be allowed to be elected based on media purchased? Laws should be enacted to force canidates to public series of televised debates by at least 10 seperate entieties of society. Issues and long fourums would give public more honest insight on who really represents their interest. I don't care who has more dollars.

484. The outrageous left-wing bias in 85% of the media is very frustrating to see day after day. What will it take to get the main stream media to give BOTH parties fair coverage?

485. Hello Mr. Donaldson,
Don't you think that the new GOP ad featuring Bin Laden is like a drowning man clinging on floating dry leaves just to survive? What do you think?
The Bush administration has failed us in Iraq. The question now is what can we do to save our face and bring our children home. I wish Senator Hilary Clinton can be our President tomorrow. I bet you she knows what to do.

488. For the past few weeks the Foley scandal has dominated the news. However, Mr. Foley, once his e-mails were outed, resigned. Now, there is Mr. Frank, who did worse then Foley, he actually, in 1989, was involved with a male prostitute, but continues to be a congresman. Why this double-standard?

489. Hi Sam, well, I could ask about our energy policy, or what we are doing to get off our addiction to oil, or why we don't let China deal with North Korea, since they are their next door neighbors, or I could ask what we gained in the war in Iraq, but that would be too difficult. What I see in the news is about Madonna and her adoption, etc., so I am going to talk about the small things that are important to me, and wouldn't be too difficult to fix. 1. Our war on drugs is not working. How about legalizing Medical Marijuana, or legalizing it period. 2. Female circumcision is illegal, so why are we circumcising males routinely. Could we take a lesson from Europe and China and not mutilate baby boys? And 3. Give gay people their US citizen rights like they did Afro-American blacks in the 60's not because a majority of Americans are against gay rights, but because as Americans we should have equal rights.
PS Fox news is disgusting. They are doing more with their unfair, unbalanced reporting to divide the country than Karl Rove. I get most of my news from BBC America.

490. How can we possably trust our own elections? Some how I would rather have a purple finger to prove I voted than use the electronic voting machines. Why isn't anyone paying attention to this real threat to our Democarcy?

491. Am I the only American who heard President Bush say on public TV prior to the Iraq war of Saddam Hussein: "He tried to kill my Daddy." Isn't that the real reason for this war?? Revenge???

492. The justification for invading Iraq was Saddam Hussin and his weapons of mass destruction. Since we captured Hussin and have found no weapons of mass destruction, why are our children still in Iraq getting killed to install a government no one there wants?

493. Sam, my main man, how about focusing in on Congress, regarding all the perks they (individual members) get. Why are they not part of our SS System? Why do they have their own retirement program? Why should they be elected once and get a retirement program, with free medical care and a big monthly check forever? Fair is fair and they are not better than us. Take a closer look at Harry Reed and his Milion $ profit, with NO TAX consequence. Thanks Sam!
They are not better than us, this would be a great subject to dig into and expose. Nobody beats you when you decide to dig in to a subject.

494. Hi Sam,
Thank you for this opportunity. May 14, 2003 I filed a patent called Liquid Nitrogen Enabler, USP20040226301, based on my inventive uses of the super cold, clear liquid which evaporates into a super cold clear, inert gas which joins the 78% Nitrogen content of the atmosphere after conquering whatever crisis. I offered it to the US Army Corps of Engineers Aug. 18, 2003 after it took ten days to quell an Iraqi oil pipeline fire. After my directions proving I could do it in a few hours, the time for oil pipeline control took a day. It made that practice lack luster for the insurgents. I also encouraged them to use the other Liquid Nitrogen techniques especially those making removal of land mines and IEDs unexploded more safe, putting down infernos from explosions and the like. I also wrote to President Bush offering these technologies to protect our troops and Iraqi citizens. Major General James Cheatham answered my letters guaranteeing they were not using Liquid Nitrogen in Iraq. He did this because USACE, the Corps, directed me to go to Halliburton for compensation for these ideas. Halliburton refused through their VP of Intellectual Property, William Shull, whose letters are "get lost."
AirWars Defense lp, my company for this technology, has sought a contract to prepare troops and offer delivery equipment for use in Iraq.
Question #1: Why hasn't this been accepted?
In my opinion, many lives would be saved and those who lost limbs and sight when asked to clear IEDs would have done it more safely. AirWars would have given them proper training in using Liquid Nitrogen to cool the ordnance until it could be safely transferred to a detonation chamber.
Also, June 7, 2005 I offered a means to freeze levees during Category #5 hurricane threats to Asst. Director of FEMA, Michael Brown. August 18, he had a letter responding to my request saying something to the order of testing my method would be unfair to my competitors. August 29, the frozen 4' x pipe height x levee length levee material and ice concrete block would have been handy. My current request for Milton Myer of USACE to have them test the method has an 18 month delay missing this hurricane season along with 2007. My letter to Halliburton, who has the contract to replace the levees, offering the technique so levees could be upgraded before an anticipated Category #5 hurricane by adding Liquid Nitrogen drew another sizzling rejection from William Shull.
Question #2: If there is new technology that would prevent disaster or lessen its destruction, why does the US Government and US Military not at least try the technique to prove its worth?
It is a lot cheaper for the testing of the technology than even the government borne expenses for recovery and disability pension of one amputee.
Conclusion: It isn't easy to be an inventor here in the United States. First, you can't get research money until your patents expire and you are competing with the rest of the world. And, second, you see all the disaster that you believe you could have mitigated. The latter brings great sorrow to my heart.

495. THE BIBLE SAYS HOMOSEXUALITY IS A SIN AND CONDEMS THE SIN BUT NOT THE SINNER. I AM DISSAPOINTED WITH THE REPUBLICANS LEADERS AND THEIR PLATFORM IN DEALING WITH HOMSEXUALITY. IT APPEARS TO ME THEY HAVE BEEN TRYING VERY HARD TO CONDEM THE SINNER AND NOT THE SIN. FOLKS REMEMBER OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD AND HE IS JUST ALSO! THAT IS WHAT THE FOLEY SCANDAL IS ALL ABOUT! NOTHING CAN BE HIDDEN UNDER THE SUN!
