In New Jersey, Republican Chris Christie defeated Democratic Governor Jon Corzine. The Republican victory deals a blow to President Barack Obama as he readies for next year's midterm elections. Obama campaigned heavily for Corzine. (Nov. 3)
Larry Sabato, director of the University of Virginia Center for Politics says Republican victories in New Jersey and Virginia was a failure for President Barack Obama's campaign efforts, but not a direct referendum on his job performance.

Why has ABC retired you from the Whitehouse beat?
You used to ask all the tough questions, and make the most profound statements, one of which was the following:
"Sometimes coanservatives win; sometimes liberals win; we as whites always win. Blacks never get chance to win," or words to that affect.
Limbaugh, Michael Savage, Sean Hannity, first of all will never admit that this is true, and secondly, cannot even comprehend how profund a statement that is.

231. When did it become acceptable behavior for elected representatives and leaders to lie? I was taught as a child that it was wrong and I don't lie today. I'm 67 years young. I'm a better person than Bush, Cheney, Rove, Rumsfeld, Ashcroft, Rice and pretty much all Republicans. I'm thinking of writing a book entitled Why I Should Be The Next President. The reasons: I'm honest, considerate, conscientious and realize that the nature of life is to grow--mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. The purpose of government is to support and be in harmony with the nature of life. The Republicans don't govern to promote life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and health, they govern to maintian power, at the expense of the people they are supposed to be helping. Bush, Cheney, etc. should spend the rest of their lives in prison. Pardoning them would be another crime. The blood on the hands of the ones who tortured and killed is on their hands. 239. Unlike most Americans, Pres. Bush refuses to think global warming nor greenhouse gas emmisions is a fundamental issue for every leader. Regardless if real or not, at least investigate the issue. 240. I have heard so many people say that, all a person needs to show for identifcation to vote is a drivers license. Thanks to Gov EasleyI guess that all these illeagal Immigrants, can vote now. They should have to show at least 3 ID's with pictures.
There is going to be one big fiasco after the voting. Our system sucks. Maybe we ought to go to the purple finger and do away with all these so called great voting machines.
