271. Fox is a Canadian. I thought Canada's health care system was far superior to ours. Why doesn't he go home and have his beloved Canadians spend their money, time, and talent, using Canadian baby parts to cure him, since they are so much better than we awful, selfish, ignorant Americans???

272. I believe that every individual in the House and Senate should be required to sign a Code of Ethics that limits how they criticize their political opponents: no name-calling, no malicious attacks, no misleading statements, only addressing the issues and how they would solve the problems we are confronted with. Do you think this would be a reasonable thing for someone to bring to the House and Senate floor? Could it ever happen, or ever work? The American people are certainly fed up with the venemous and vicious rhetoric of politics today. Nothing is accomplished, only bad-mouthing the other guy. Thanks for your time.

273. In March before we invaded Iraq, Ted Koppel had William Kristol(sp?) on and he said that Neo-Coms from the Heritage Foundation had presented a plan to invade Iraq in 1997 to Clinton and obviously we did not invade then. My question is, Is it the same plan from them that the Bush Asministration used for the 2003 Invasion and if so, why is the Bush Administration still claiming that it was because of the threat of WMD's? I have come to the conclusion that the climate of the Bush Administration made it very unpopular to disagree with whatever came out of their mouths.(Ex. If you ever disagreed with them after 9/11 you were unpatriotic)Why does no one ever talk about that? And finally, this makes all the candidates who voted for the war look like they were so afraid of losing their seats(politically) that they voted for a war that never made sense. Any answers for me?
Thank you for your time.

274. Question 14 addresses the "extreme liberal bias" of certain TV and newspapers. I am concerned that Republicans would ultimately like to have a one party country and nationalize the press so that comments regarding the administration would be tempered at all times.

275. MASS MURDERER OF THE NEW MILLENIUM. GEORGE BUSH AND HIS ADMINISTRATION LIED AND CREATED A WAR THAT KILLED THOUSANDS OF INNOCENT IRAQI AND AMERICAN PEOPLE. BUSH KEEPS THROWING UP SMOKESCREENS TO HIDE THIS FACT. GEORGE BUSH IS A WAR CRIMINAL AND A MASS MURDERER. HE SHOULD BE IMPEACHED AND TRIED FOR THESE CRIMES. HE KEEPS TELLING YOU THAT THE WAR THEY ARE FIGHTING IS A WAR AGAINST TERRORISTS. THE TERRORIST THAT THE WAR CREATED THAT IS. IF THERE WAS NO WAR THERE WOULD BE NO TERRORISTS. THE ONLY AND TRUE TERRORIST THERE IS, RESIDES IN THE WHITEHOUSE AND HIS NAME IS GEORGE BUSH THE MASS MURDERER OF THE NEW MILLENIUM.

276. Mr.donaldson ,I have been an admirer of your work for years.I allways wachted this week with David Brinkley on A.B.C. chanell 7.I have a simple question for you and I hope you give me an honest answer. It is pathetically clear to any american citizen that we need to send more troops into Irak to be able to stabilize that country. My question is, Why is it that the mainstream media which you are a part of ,does not ask president bush bluntly to send in more troops ?.I dont have to be an army general to see that this is exactly what is needed to put an end to all this violence in Irak.We have American troops being used for target practice over there. And nobody in the mainstream media seems to have the balls to ask this president to his face , Why in god's name he refuses to send in more troops?.I hope sir that you will be the one to ask hin this simple question , I would like to see what he has to say "what excuse" about it.thank you.

If they r serious y didn't they fix these thing the 1st or the 2nd time around... 278. If Winston Churchill were alive today, what would he likely be saying to the free world about the growing threat of radical religious extremism? Were he Prime Minister today, what do you think we would say and do?

279. The illegal immigration issue has being in the news for years with people mostly talking about it and really doing nothing. Now Bush finally signs a bill to build the fence across the boarder. We all know our country is strained across the board local states and federal. it is a major reason Medicaid and Medicare are in such bad shape as well as hospitals schools social services, wages, law enforcement not to mention taxes, the list goes on and on.
My question is this do you think the political talk will transpire in them finally enforcing laws and coming up with a real solution or just going to end here as so much else does after elections are over. I know the bill was signed but there is no funding........

280. Why are so many republicans being buddy-buddy with our current presendent, if the polls are stating that they are doing so badly across the board? What political gain is there for republican candidates in this coming election?

281. Why is the mainsteram media afraid to point out the lies and corruption of this administration and congress? Also why does the media not focus on the liberties and freedoms that we are losing or the cost of this administration both financially and in world stature?

282. In this election we have the ad's like the one in the Ford race in Tennessee, and the one about the Democrat who dialed a a wrong number ny mistake and got a sex line, and others that are truly horrible ads. The Democrats though guilty in the past seem to have decided not to run those types of ad's and not play that game. When Rove and the RNC insists on running these type of ads, why doesn't the media, and people condemn them for it? These ad's have gotten attention but these type of tactics should be stopped. These people ought to be called out on it all the time. Don't you think its just wrong?

284. By the way I think you are one of our most brilliant human beings, I wanted to ask you why do you think that some people are so opposed to stem cell research? I personally feel that the US used to be a leader in medical and scientific progress but because of politics and the roll it has played we are falling behind. I would say to Michael J. Fox and others hoping for a miracle with stem cell that A. You do deserve it & B, If we don't get the research done in the US some other Brilliant scientist, medical researcher in another country is bound to discover what you and others like you have been hoping for and in my opinion, they will do it with God's Blessing.

285. Good morning Sam, I miss your daily interaction with us, the public. My question is more of a thought.. Four Score and twenty years ago our forefathers founded upon this continent a whole lot of Indians without horses... We brought our soles, our livelyhood to this beautiful island only to forget our roots over the years and reach out to the needy not associated with the mess we have established here on the home front. I'd like your view on how best we are served at promoting from within a love of compassion for our fellow man, a countryman on this sole. I served 26 years in the Navy and missed numerous celebrations and family events thinking my stance justified my personal sacrifices. Politics have been a key role in our nation for years. When do we bring the politics back to the homefront and take a stance with our public that this nation is united and concerned about our fellow man rather than leaning toward making the whole world a better place to live in. We, the public deserve more TLC than does the issues of democracy in third world countries. Let us not forget those who fought and continue to battle with world problems not associated with the welfare of their own families here in such a rich nation. I wish every politician had to bear arms and make sacrifices prior to pledging a stance on issues so removed from the issues in our own country. We should lend a helping hand to our own on more occassions. I am shameful that our public is treated second to all other national issues. This country is young but acts very old and change only comes from within. I truly believe it is time for "all good men" to come to the aid of their country... When was the last time we spent a billon dollars to aid those in our country seeking a better life within this democracy?? We spend those figures easily for our fellow nations... time to look at our own internal structure and fix a problem no outside nation would spend a penny on. As a retired Naval Officer, I am shameful and personally sadden with our commitment to chase down a rock hiding criminal when we should be chasing down the poor and lending a helping hand within our own infrastruce. We have a new foreign affairs problem just as significant as those we battle abroad today, the welfare of our countrymen who go without on our own soil.. There needs are just as foreign to our politicians or better yet, forgotten. It's time to come home and lend a hand to those families who for generations gave all they had for a dream of "life, liberty and a pursuit of happiness". Wake up America, your neighbors need a lending hand and they live on the very soil that we all prosper from.
