1. I have 2 questions. Why is America so afraid of Gay marriage? I don't think this should be an issue of concern this or any election. I don't tell the straight community what rights they should have or not have.
Why don't the politicians raise the cap on SS and give the break to those making below proverty level? I was in that group once and was ashamed that I did not continue to pay into SS and my mom made 500 a month to live on. Where can you live on that amount of money? We are a sick nation that takes care of the rich and leaves the middle and lower income classes behind.

2. I have not seen any positive stories about what we are doing in Iraq. Why does the news media continually report US Troop deaths? I would like to know how many Terrorists we've killed. Is there a bias in reporting?

3. Can the "war" on terror actually be won? Do you believe Bush had an underlying motive for invading Iraq? After war, is it our job to use our troops to secure another country? Shouldn't their national security come from their government and their troops?

4. No comments, just want to say hello to Mr Donaldson and I continue to enjoy his news reporting. I met him in the late forty's or early fifty's at KEPO radio in El Paso, TX where my father, Louis, was chief engineer.
Sam just keeps going and going.

5. When is our US government going to give those on SS a substantial raise in income so as to make a better life for them and
stop giving everything to foreign persons, here and abroad. Don't you think it is time for the USA to take care of it's own???

6. I have a question. Why, until recently, has the press allowed the President and his spokesperson to issue statements and not verified the information? We went to war and the information was incorrect. I told everyone at the time it was wrong. How did I know, simple, if everyone says it is so, it must not be. (See any accident, there are as many accounts as there are witnesses.) Our press does not do it's job. The press is suppose to ask questions, not accept news releases as fact.

7. Last year, I heard (or read somewhere) that Exxon has not yet paid the fines connected with the Valdez disaster. Is this really true? How is this possible, especially given the extent of the windfall profits recently reported?

8. What do polls say Mitt Romney would do against Hillary Clinton? And why does anyone think that Mormons are not Christian?
By the way, John Kerry's recent remarks remind me of Joe Lieberman's comments on Howard Dean in 2004:
He's still in his pigeon hole (a la Saddam) of denial.

9. Why is the old Media so hell bent on creating the impression that this war is the same as Vietnam, when it is not?
Is the Media siding with Terrorists or Americans?
And, do you think CNN will admit that they asked for the video tape of Snipers killing our troops in exchange for more "fair" treatment of the terrorists?

10. Why are there so many liberal a$$holes from the conservative state of Texas
Ellis Brasher at 5:46PM on Oct 31st 2006
11. When its all done in Iraq, like Veit nam, all will wonder why we were even there. A war lord with the most guns (m probably stolen fron the U.S.) will rule the Islamic state of Iraq! Billion of tax dollars waisted and thousands of our troops killed, all for not! Wrong country, wrong war. Further, America will continue to fall from grace in the eyes of the rest of the world!Thank you GOP and G. Bush Shame on all of you!

12. Why don't we use the word Moslem any more? I used to think that "muslim" was derogatory and "moslem" was neutral. Who got us to change common usage?
Jack Brookner at 8:06PM on Oct 31st 2006
13. Dan,I mean Sam:
You are a partisan and have a one sided view, being a retired military officer I ask you this question, have you interviewed an array of military personnel currently serving in the Middle East to get their opinion or comments?
John H Wood at 5:54PM on Oct 31st 2006
14. Sam: Do you consider yourself a far left liberal, far right conservative or a middle of the road centralist

15. I have a simple comment. The election time is fast approaching and I think it is important that the candidates indicate not only what they stand for but how they plan on addressing the issues. So far all I have seen from the Democrats is bashing every idea that the Republicans have for this country. How about the Democrats trying something unique like providing us their plan and letting us make an informed decision before going to the polls.
I have not seen one candidate tell us how they would make us less dependent on foreign oil, how they would change the situation in Iraq and how they would stop illegal immigration. The last one is more important than you think. How many illegals are coming across our borders are terrorist. Remember it only takes 1. All I hear is that Democrats want a change. But what is that change. We should know that before we cast our vote. If it is a change to raise my taxes, put small businesses in bankruptcy or provide us another terrorist attack then NO Thank YOu.
