More breaking news from ABC News, which seems to be making up for all the news on Democratic corruption that the news media failed to notice prior to this past election day. Sopranos-lite Senator Robert Menendez is the subject of a second series of federal subpoenas, although according to federal law enforcement authorities he is only a "person of interest" and is not yet a "target" of the investigation. I think we'll be hearing quite a bit more about this, and that this will lead to other things involving Menendez and New Jersey politics.
Note that "person of interest" in a federal investigation is quite a bit more serious that the "innocent bystander" spin that is being put on this episode by the Menendez camp and national Democrats. Oh well, the Senator can always hope for "unindicted co-conspirator" status, as John Murtha had in ABSCAM.

1. Because of information I released to Pres.Bush and republican staff, and my privacy list,I think a high level investigation is underway with other democrats as well who you have reported here. They are Sen.Clinton, former Pres. Clinton,Rep.Pelosi, former Pres.Carter.The entire list cannot be determined by me as I am not the possible criminal element in question. As I have stated to ABC by telephone earlier,my structured request for this information/investigation is that you work with News Corp.and Warner Bros. This is because of the Hollywood elite which includes other buisness of your type ABC-AOL.

2. Of course the right is now saying the media helped Democrats by not investigating corruption in the party. Actually every campaign ad by Kean Jr. concerned Menendez's corruption troubles, it was in the papers, yet the anti-Republican sentiment was so strong it didn't matter. They tried to implicate Senator Reid in an ethics scandal, it didn't stick, and there was Congressman Jefferson who the Democrats asked to resign. We also had the GOP infomercial by ABC, concerning the "real story of 9-11" which falsely blamed President Clinton for allowing Osama Bin Laden to go free. The media has taken their shots at the Democrats, just look what they and the Republicans did to President Clinton, but that's all forgotten now. The GOP also forgets the cooperation they received from the media in the buildup to the disaster in Iraq, the non-reporting of the Downing Street Memo, or the dirty tricks and uncounted votes in Ohio 2004. Up until the corruption and scandal became overwhelming, and Iraq turned into a chaotic mess the Republican party and the Bush administration received virtually no criticism from the media.
