Could it be the start of something big? Might it only be a matter of time before rural municipalities in Alabama and Kansas follow suit? Don't hold your breath. Vermonters are a proud group, known for their independence, their ice cream, and Socialist Senator, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that they're out front on the impeachment issue. And while this story will be easy for some to laugh off as nothing more than an idea "firmly outside the political mainstream," it does come on what is shaping up to be a particularly bad week for the White House.

61. President Bush has done what we needed him to do in order to keep us safe. Almost everyone agreed t the time that we needed to invade Iraq. Scooter Liby is only guilty of having a bad memory and should get a pardon. Everyone just wants to jump onto the "hate Bush" bandwagon because they think it is the cool thing to do. 62. One poster asked why is it the USA is first to offer assistance to other nations in a disaster?
The answer is simply, that although we have political problems of missmanagement,we are also one of the strongest economical nation on earth. Citizens here are obviously divided on many issues but as a nation we have more resources, and possibly more compassion combined than many other nations.
As we are more advanced in technology-it enables us to respond faster to any location on earth with the resources that many lack in times on disaster, whether man made or natural.
We saw on Sept 11,2001 that Americans stick together in a major crisis and help each other out.
This bond or brotherhood/sisterhood is one of the many great qualities that we share as Americans.
If you foolow my posts, you may consider me anti American-but I am not that way at all, I only wish to educate some who feel we are doing our best,when it reality we have the ability to be so much better.A friend of mine says I am too much an idealist-perhaps its the aquarius in me or just the old hippie that I am.
We can do far better if we try to build a better nation,live in harmony with each other and work towards global understanding and share our technology wisely,while defending the true principals of Democracy.
Our time here as citizens of the world is limited, should we not make the best efforts to live in harmony and allow each individual freedoms of expression, speech and religion?

63. Impeach Bush!!! The fool has done nothing to help our country in any of his years as president. All he has done is hurt us and forced us in to an uneccesary war. GET RID OF HIM NOW!
