This is remarkable, although not surprising. CNN's man in Baghdad, Michael Ware, openly mocked and heckled Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham, according to an item at
the Drudge report:
During a live press conference in Baghdad, Senators McCain and Graham were heckled by CNN reporter Michael Ware. An official at the press conference called Ware's conduct "outrageous," saying, "here you have two United States Senators in Baghdad giving first-hand reports while Ware is laughing and mocking their comments. I've never witnessed such disrespect. This guy is an activist not a reporter."
This man who calls himself a reporter also pulled the same thing with McCain last week during an interview with Wolf Blitzer on CNN. After Blitzer had interviewed McCain, Ware ridiculed the senator:
Last week, after Senator McCain told CNN's Wolf Blitzer that he needed to catch up on the news coming out of Iraq, Michael Ware responded, saying: "I don't know what part of Neverland Senator McCain is talking about when he says we can go strolling in Baghdad."
Michael Ware is one of those many reporters who are doing the best to portray Iraq in the worst possible light to the rest of the world.
Michael Ware has also publicly expressed his views on the war last year in an interview with Bill Maher, saying, "I've been given a front-row ticket to watch this slow-motion train wreck ... I try to stay as drunk for as long as possible while I'm here ... In fact, I'm drinking now."
He gets off on this type of behavior. Let's see if CNN holds him to account.

1. Hmmm. Ultra-rightwing blog cites unknown "official" critical of Ware. Yup... that certainly isn't in and of itself "biased" reporting now is it? Fuck you guys are stupid.
Lets say for a second this is true, and really... I wouldn't be surprised if it is. Ware has actually been in Iraq for months, and has acutally witnessed what's going on. I don't give a rats ass if McCain is a Senator, veteran, or Jesus fucking Christ himself... the asshole lied when he said "“There are neighborhoods in Baghdad where you and I could walk through those neighborhoods, today.”
When you speak such bullshit... you get called on it. I can't wait till somebody says something like this to your retard-in-chief.

2. Senator McCain has become a lapdog for President Bush and Bush's totally false reporting on the status of Iraq. Remember Bush's false statements on the deck of the air craft carrier, namely "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED." Bush/Cheney have been giving false reports on the status of Iraq ever since.
For McCain to make a quick visit to Iraq and claim he knows what the status of the country is is irresponsible. Let him stay there for weeks and months, travel throughout Iraq without being killed and then tell us what he learned. He cannot learn virtually any detailed information with a quick in and out trip.
I will put my confidence in the reporter who has been there for months. Not a major FLIP-FLOPPER like McCain. He has been on both sides of a myriad number of positions in the past. His word cannot be trusted any more than Bush/Cheney.

3. Nothing terrifies lefties more than good news for America coming out of Iraq.
Nothing should frighten any of us more than sociopathic retrogrades like Kougar - low class at its lowest.

4. The insolent remarks from Ware are not surprising. But that's not the problem. When these arrogant reporters consistently sit in a news briefing filled with a mix of international reporters and publicly insult and disrespect our American leaders, that reporter needs to be fired. Warner's conduct is an embarrassment to our country, he consistently breaches our trust in him to be professional. He may absolutely hate the people he interviews, but it's not his job to argue and ultimately punish our leaders this way. If CNN does nothing to reign in this guys contemptible conduct, then he certainly did what they wanted him to do. Exactly when did the definition of "Treason" change?

5. Oh, and I almost forgot.....there must be at least ONE safe neighborhood in Iraq. That country celebrated their Iraqi female singer winning the Middle East version of American Idol last night. Must have been a lull in the carnage just long enough for Iraqi's to text message their votes!

6. Ware needs to get out of the war for a month or two. And the Senators need to quit spinning it. 125 Iraqis died the day before in a single truck bomb attack. I have said before, that this surge is like squeezing jello. Most of it just oozes out between the fingers. We're chasing the bad guys around and around, but they keep showing up someplace else, as deadly as ever.

7. Michael Ware is no ones "go to" reporter. Michael is in good company. Three years after this war is over, people will be asking "whatever happened to Michael Ware, Rosie O'Donnel", etc, etc...All these people serve a purpose for the anti-war crowd. But like Jane Fonda, they all drop out of sight soon after wars are over.

8. Rumor has it that the FBI may have wiretapped conversations between Rudy and Kerik: http://www.solidpolitics.com
McCain was smart to get out of town in the wake of Hillary's blockbuster fund-raising effort.

9. McCain deserves no respect...He flies into Iraq,Stays in the green zone...Ventures out to a market 1 mile from the green zone with 100 heavily armed men.. Armored vehicles, and 2 black hawk choppers for support..Michael Ware is the brave one who deserves our respect..Not this walking.talking moron of a senator who not only has no chance of becoming president..I wonder how many idiots in his own state will vote for him again as senator... It would be a blessing if he gave up his senate seat to run for president.. Then he could move to his safe street in Iraq and report to the american people daily....

10. Kougar, I have a new 4 letter word for you--BUSH. McCain, like the rest of us sees what fits the prejudice of our minds. Most prople probably don't have a bevy of armed guards following them through Iraq, Come on, McCain, go have tea with Bush and Cheney and forget the civil (uncivil) war.

11. I would not believe anything McCain says. Ware is always right on...it's bad and we should not be there.
LCVail at 1:24PM on Apr 2nd 2007
12. "Openly mocked & heckled" "Outrageous behavior"
"Ridiculed"
What? A reporter who reports, who openly disagrees with untrue statements is accused of the above???
I was sick of the non-reporting of facts that got too many Americans believing in this war. It's refreshing to have reporters....
(so few left in Iraq as IT'S DANGEROUS THERE !!!)
...such as Ware and Engel describing what they see, hear and smell, not what they are "supposed" to report for the so-called peace of mind of the folks having a beer in front of their TV sets.

13. The attack on Ware for his mocking McCain is standard operating procedure when the right hears something they do not want to hear. Here is some hypocracy for you: Ware is attacked for mocking McCain while Ann Coulture is cheered for calling Edwards a fag. Naturally they call that "fair and balanced."
ron misenor at 3:35PM on Apr 2nd 2007
14. It is about time that McCain is 'heckled'. McCain is a sorry person. No leadership. NO cajones. The very look of a Bushie Lap Dog. More people should do as the Unbalanced and Unfair fox rag does. It seems that the NEo Con's can do anything. But when it comes to Democrats and Independents doing the same as the Right Wing assess. The Neo Con's cry like babies and whine. I have cheese for their whining. Neo con's, you have a new Congress in town. Get over yourselves and follow the majority. Another option is to move to an island all 22% of you and start your own juvenile regime.
