The latest Mitt Romney dust-up involves a recent campaign stop where he told an audience that he was a "lifelong hunter," when it was later disclosed that, in fact, he'd only ever been hunting twice in his life. Well, this past week Romney sat down with ABC's George Stephanopoulos and gave a dizzying display of flip-floppery. Behold! Part contortionist, part illusionist, part tongue-tied panderer, the incredible Mr. Romney thinks he's ready for his moment in the national spotlight.
So how'd he do? You might argue that by pissing off everybody in some small way that he qualifies as a populist.

5. Romney is a dangerous person. I live in a Mormon state, Idaho. I sold my home because the Mormons are in every facet in this state. The Mormons have more money and can use it to support this man.
The fastest growing "religion" in the world is the Mormons. There is even a temple in China!
Read the book of Mormon and it will scare you.

6. I'ma member of George Romney's L.D.S. faith. "Mormon" is a nickname. We are certainly not a Satanic Cult. Our Church's name is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As you can see, it is Jesus Christ we worship. Romney leads an exemplar life, and he has a wonderful, family. He will have my vote.

7. What gives? Are all the designated "AOL bloggers" writing on Mitt Romney's portion of The Stump anti-Romney haters? Its a shame AOL doesn't sign up more bloggers that will give a more unbiased account of this presidential candidate. It wouldn't surprise me to see more hate and vitriol spewing out about Mitt from the left as he continues his rise in the polls and early primary states. Thank goodness for the many "honest" bloggers out there who are more fair and balanced in their approach. Who are willing to show the many strengths and accomplishments compared to any past mistakes any candidate have made in their careers. I doubt if you can find one presidential candidate that hasn't evolved over his or her career (that goes with most people). I say this regardless of political affliation. Again, I expect the "hit pieces" to continue even more as Romney continues his rise. However, it will only inspire people to look for more unbiased sources.

8. You have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to the mormon church. You probably had sex when you were 10 and had an abortion and that sucks for you. Just because your a fag who shouldnt be part of this country doesnt mean you have to hate people for there religion.

9. I am so sick and tired of the liberal media, and AOL appears to be out to do them one better. It is no wonder you see so few posts from average, normal Americans! AOL is supposed to be an ISP, Period! Yet all through the Clinton Impeachment we got spin, spin, spin. Any right-wing posts are pulled off, while left-wing posts, even with filth in them, is just fine. Perhaps you should hire a few intelligent people from the center who can see through the manipulation of the facts by the Left; and maybe a few more who if they ask one Candidates religion actually ask all candidates religions! Do any of you actually know them? Ah....I thought not.
What is a Bigot, Mommy?

10. I absolutely agree with comment #1. I also live in a Mormon state and have been around the Mormon mafia for 40 years. Why can you all see the evil in Scientology and not in the Mormon CULT?

11. I find the comments crude and uniformed, not to mention hate motivated. This shouldn't surprise me considering the fact that we are descending into the era of confusion...

13. I am Mormon and yes, I do have horns growing out of my head. It's all part of being a part of the scum of the earth as a member of America's most dangerous satanic cult....
What are you people talking about? Stop forming your opinions based on what South Park tells you. Mormonism is a Christian religion. If you're going to slander in such a way, base it on something factual. We are not a malicious people, and you would never hear a Mormon publicly or within the church talking trash about another's faith. So far I know that we are dangerous because we have a lot of money, we have a temple in China, and there are a lot of us that live in Idaho. I know a few other reasons also.
The Mormon church provides more charitable contributions to 3rd world countries and needy people than any other church in the world.
We have no paid clergy, so I guess the argument that we're a cult for financial gain is out.
We belieive in the Bible including the 10 commandments that all Christian faiths have in common.
We are law abiding citizens with no unfied political objectives.
I could go on and on. If you're going to say Mormons are an evil cult, provide some evidence instead of just looking for someone to throw under the bus.

14. I know many LDS People. I do not have a problem with their religion. I do not bash any religion that believes in the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
Buck Trent at 10:57PM on Apr 5th 2007
15. We are not a Satanic church nor a dangerous cult. We are Christian and we abide laws under the land. MOrmons are the honest religion entire world.
