Seriously, what a horrible performance the host of Hardball turned in tonight. He didn't manage the time well at all among the candidates, and kept going back to Mitt Romney at the start of a round-robin, ensuring that Romney would get far more air-time than his rivals. The poor guys at the far end of the stage were desperate to get a word in edgewise.
But then there were the questions themselves. The low point came when Matthews asked whether would it be a good thing to have Bill Clinton back in the White House. Is he serious? Was he confusing the forum for one of his blow-hard shows? Actually, all of the candidates burst out laughing upon hearing the question, then many went on to note the obvious, if Bill Clinton were back in the White House, it would mean that their own bids had failed.
He also completely mis-characterized Rudy Giuliani's position on the national identification card for resident aliens and embarrassed himself with some off the cuff mumbling. Really, he should never be allowed to do this kind of thing in the future.

91. Chris was pretty good. I don't like the format very much, and there are too many candidates right now. But it will thin out soon.
Republican's really aren't very good with reality. They like slogans and spin. That's what they do- and cut taxes- but they never pay for their tax cuts, they simply pass it on to the next generation...and that's not really a tax cut now, is it?

92. Chris was OK. Not a bad job. It's a tough forum with all those candidates.
Let's face it, Republican's can't stand anyone who doesn't spin their propaganda for them.
You republican's have gone so far out that I can't tell the difference between most of you and any other totolitarian regime- you want total control over all information.

94. WOW, you want to talk about hard to believe...you actually buy into evolution? You have got to be kidding me! Evolution isn't a good theory - it is just a pagan religion masquerading as science. Take a look at creation and you have got to see that there is a Creator.
Think back to H.S. biology - Your eyes alone can disprove evolution. The retina, which covers less than one square inch, contains 137,000,000 light sensitive cells. Even Darwin admitted "To suppose that the eye could have been formed by natural selection, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest degree."
Think about it, which evolved first the lungs, the mucus lining to protect the lungs, the throat, or the perfect mixture of gases to be breathed into the lungs? DNA or the RNA to carry the DNA messages to cell parts? The immune system or the need for it?
If humanity just happened without any purposeful design, explain how you sneeze at 120 miles per hour but that every time you sneeze, you have been programed to close your eyes?
Is it possible that similarities in design between different animals prove a common Creator instead of a common ancestor? You know, I'll but into a lot of things, but I just can't buy into Evolution. I find it very ironic that people like you charge Christians as being stupid people who blindly follow what we have been taught from youth. All the while you steadfastly hang onto a "theory" you were spoonfed from kindergarten, which is based on lies and speculation.
Give me your favorite proof for evolution -- Where are your peppered moths? They were attached to the trees for photographing. Piltdown Man? Jawbone of a modern ape. Nebraska Man? "Scientifically" built up from one tooth, later found to be the tooth of an extinct pig.
Ask yourself, why is it that you so fiercely hang onto evolution? Because if you can tell yourself that there is no Creator, then you do not have to obey His commands and you can continue in the sin you love.
Proof is all around you that there is an intelligent design to this universe, our world, and your own body. Please do not insult me and the rest of us who believe in Creationism and Intelligent Design until you can come up with something better than a straw man argument about the flat-earth theory. I remind you that it was "scientists" that believed that hundreds of years ago. I and generations of Christians before me have believed that the earth is round. Why? Because the Bible tells us so. (Isaiah 40:22 KJV)

95. Some impressions:
McCain has little man's disease, he'd love to be dictator.
Matthews should have asked how many Iraqis have been killed in this war but they are this century's gooks/japs/redskins, not really people so no one cares.
There are two classes of people in this world, the owners and the workers; the republicans are the party of the owners, very simple. Although not perfect, I'll back the party of the workers, the democrats.

96. There was none among the Republicans who stood out whatsoever! I'm afraid it will be a democratic president this time around. Rudy is just not presidential at all. What he did in NY during 9/11
was no more than expected of any mayor. So why put him on a pillar. McCain is O.K. Trecada is a bigot to his own race. Sorry guys you've all failed!

97. So Tamara:
What happens to the poor slob who's born retarded or has some other physical defect? Why would God allow that? Does he/she get a new body in heaven? If that's the case then he/she gets screwed in this life while you enjoy yourself here and in heaven. How is that intelligent design?

98. Tamara,
Very well said!
To all the comments about spelling mistakes, not everyone is book smart, but everyone has a mind and a heart. What comes from the heart is what matters most. Nobody's perfect, not even you! Jesus Christ is the only Perfection I know!

99.
Is that how some people see the disabled? As poor slobs! Talk about a loser!!
Kathy at 5:10AM on May 4th 2007
100. Hey Kathy you must be a republican!
And you didn't answer the question I posed because you have no answer.

101. Gilmore? Even running is a joke coming from Virginia this guy tried to cut personal property taxes on autos with no back up on where the money would come from to plug up the hole - put the state in a free fall with no plug to where additional money would come from. Took a Democrat Mark Warner to get Virginia fiscally sound. Yep the auto tax is still there.
Barbara Jackson at 6:05AM on May 4th 2007
102. What Vicki doesn't get is not losing your job to illegals is the additional services and money that taxing jurisdictions and hospitals are paying to support people who are uninsured for hospital care, occupy our jails, and flood our schools . I believe last count was somewhere in the $89 Billion mark!
Barbara Jackson at 6:10AM on May 4th 2007
103. Why does everyone claim to be Reaganesque? God the man was brain dead in his second term! And in his first term when he fired all the air traffic controllers and deregularized trucking and airlines we're still paying for it. Nancy kept the guy afloat with answering his questions. Yep trees kill!
He even believed he was a gunner in WWII when all he did was make movies.
Barbara Jackson at 6:17AM on May 4th 2007
104. Speaking of Iraq why didn't Mathews ask who served in the services? Two out of ten McCain and Hunter, the other eight deferred. Oh yeah Romney went to France on a Mormon mission! Another bunch of chicken hawks, Guliani hid out!

105. Matthews is a wise guy see him having his picture taken with the line up? A more serious question would have been what would you think of having Bill Clinton as an Ambassador to mend fences with the free world? I would have been interested with their answers, would indicate if they are willing to be nonpartisan!
