In a previous cartoon, I compared Tancredo with Chavez. Seems great minds really do think alike, as this week's cartoon demonstrates:

1. I must say, this comparison is a tad off, unless there are 20 million illegal Conoco-Phillips companies in Chavez country. OUR 20 million illegal's COST us, HIS 20 million companies MAKE him MONEY.

2. This is one of the stupider commentaries I have read. Illegals commit a criminal act coming into the country without clearance or authorization. They are also a national security risk for that reason...we don't know who they are. They burden the school and hospital systems, cause taxes to rise for their support, and depress wages. I am tired of hearing that they do jobs that Americans won't do. Who do you think DID the jobs until these people poured in here over the last decade? They are doing construction jobs and many other kinds of skilled middle class jobs, don't believe all they do is pick fruit. What they DO is undercut wages. Many Americans support "Attrition through Enforcement"...punish employers who hire illegals and the jobs will dry up. When that happens many illegals will return home. As for Hugo Chavez.. he is a joke in diplomatic circles...cut from the same mold as many past South American dictators.... A big blow hard who thinks he is making a reputation for himself by attacking America. If he nationalizes the oil fields in his country, do you really imagine he will distribute any profits to the PEOPLE there???? The oil companies would do well to reconsider investing billions in unstable places like this. I can imagine the big stink in the media if the US attempted to wrestle away control of a foreign company operating in the US without compensation.Funny the papers here are so quiet about Hugo's actions. Nationalization is a fancy word for thievery.

3. Tom Tancredo is an American Hero and patriot. He is one of the few members of Congress who has not given in to the lobbysits' money and "bribes". He advocates securing our borders, fining the employees of this Southern Hispanic Invasion, no benefits for illegal immigrants who are law breakers, stop anchor babies, and deportation through attrition. He believes in enforicng the US Constition and our laws. I wish other members of Congress followed his example. He is protecting our country, our jobs, our culture, our sovereignty, our way of life, and our security. Tenerio is an idiot and should move to Venezuela or some other Latin America country and try drawing his stupid cartoons there.

4. Tancredo is full of hate as many "compassionate" Republicans are. I dont think that 12 million "illegals" came "overnight".It has happened over a long period of time. Why were the "rules" and the "laws" not applied then? Because there were a lot of people making money out of the "cheap labor". Now that they are not needed by the large"agro businesses" and because the "brown color of their skins" are showing in the cities and schools the "white majority" wants to defend their "civilization" and "culture". It would be more
beleivable and honest to call the "Illegal Immigrants" a social challenge and deal with it without hate and acusations of threat to the security of the US. Rather than breaking families with "raids" (that place children-most born in this country -in situations that if they were "white" would cause a complete rage of the public), offer these families a more humane solution that could send them back to their original country with a monetary offer that would give them a chance to re-locate- and maybe even start small businesses - I agree that to those that have commited REAL CRIMES should be deported immediately. To treat EVERY IMMIGRANT with the same "solution" is absurd and only a "TANCREDO" can think like that.

5. It's official. Every single time we hear from "supporters" of the criminal aliens who are in our country illegally, they raise up the "white" race SOMEWHERE in their comments, often many times. It doesn't matter to these racists that posts are about ILLEGAL aliens, no matter WHAT their color! What part about ILLEGAL do you people NOT understand? Criminals are criminals. Period. So take your racist selves back to your own country, we don't want you, WHATEVER COLOR YOU ARE!! There are many IMMIGRANTS who came here LEGAL who need our help, we will NOT HELP YOU. Get the message loud and clear, GET THE HELL OUT OF MY COUNTRY! Take your anchor babies with you. Take your foreign flags with you. Take your arrogant, racist selves back to your own country. And you can take your friends with you. You DESERTED your own country and you would DESERT this one. You have no allegience to any country, citizens of nowhere. Just keep raising your fists in the air and DEMANDING rights you don't deserve in the first place, that way you guarantee alienation and MORE VOTES for Tancredo. Keep calling Americans RACIST because they insist law breakers GO HOME, and you guarantee MORE VOTES for Tancredo. I never thought about him before, but he's starting to look like a bonafide HERO! Americans are FED UP. We want huge increases in ICE raids and DEMAND them. Americans (ALL colors) do NOT bare the responsibility of breaking up "families" in ICE raids, YOU DO. You don't care enough about your families to keep them from separation in the first place when you BROKE THE LAW. You continue to BREAK THE LAW by forging documents, stealing SSN's of people who are deceased, and on and on and on. Your traitor ACLU buddies led you down the primerose path. The American people won't put up with it for one more minute. So keep watching over your shoulders, because the telephone number to the INS is programmed into the cell phones for speed dialing.

6. you are an idiot to compare these two entirely differt situations. Good thing God gave you the talent to draw, you would starve to death if you had to rely on your thinking process.
Revered Jim at 10:31AM on May 5th 2007
7. Whip out your credit card Edwin Chavez, amigo, you get to pay the "relocation" bribe to get your illegal alien friends to go back to their "home" country. Oh, I see. You meant the American taxpayer, right? In that case, your illegal alien friends can get back the same way they came in, and pay the illegal alien fines and fees on their way out.
Marta Rodriguez at 10:55AM on May 5th 2007
8. What an idiotic comparison. Just shows how really far gone the left wing is - they can't distinguish bad from good at all. They sit in the comfort and protection of a country that allows them to spew their ridiculous propaganda without consequence and then berate the system of government and the economy that provides them with this luxury. Good for Tancredo - we need to do what is right for the U.S. instead of worrying about 'offending' people who break our laws and we have the right to preserve our national sovereignty. That IS the role of the Federal Government. This kind of crap is why I rarely read the news anymore, the papers become more like Pravda everyday. You can't get both sides of the story - because they only allow one view to be propagated.

9. This is pretty typical. Illegal alien supporters and sympathizers have absolutely no legal or moral leg to stand on, so inevitably they resort to calling illegals "immigrants", which they are not, or "migrants," which unless they are birds/whales or legal workers legally moving from job to job, they are also not. They compare themselves to immigrants who built this country, which is ludicrous, as those prior waves of immigrants were overwhelmingly LEGAL and they made the effort to assimilate into the predominant culture, not vilify it.
Keep protesting, folks. Even with your sympathizer spin doctors at work advising you to wave American flags and tell your sob stories, each and every time, your true racist colors emerge. The mainstream media only covers the good parts of the rallies, but the internet captures what REALLY goes on and more and more Americans are getting sicker and sicker of it. Keep it up.

10. The Mexican immigration problem has reached catastophic proportions. There is only one last ditch solution: Give them back Arizona. Sacrifice the one for the good of the 49.
Steve Bonomo at 11:22PM on May 5th 2007
11. The actors and their roles are epic: Migrants seeking better lives, Natives defending their turf, and Industry seeking foreign raw materials to exploit...
Sure, put up fences & deport illegals, and while you are at it, don't forget to build up higher levees in New Orleans.
Martin at 11:25AM on May 6th 2007
12. Relax folks, the philosophical comparison is valid at that level. I agree the immigrants are illegal but where was the law enforcement for the last decade. They came here because US business interests wanted it that way. You too have benefited from the lower cost products by their illegal labor, so cool the rhetoric. With that said, something has to be done for the future. mass deportation talk from radical candidates like Tancredo are unworkable. deporting 11 million people sounds like something the nazis would do not americans. Republicans cooked their own goose on this one as well. Bush's plan may be a reasonable approach afterall. Tancredo is pandering for right wing votes to have a chance at getting the republican nomination. If he wins that, you conservatives lose the main election in a landslide, wake up!
Yes the comparison to Chavez is different but actually shows how the lefty liberals control people and property as well. Hope you noticed how great americans? like Joseph (red) Kennedy Jr. promote their cause for cheap oil thanks to our friends in "Chavez Land". Now do you see the comparisons between right and left wing leaders in controlling people and property. No body likes it but that is what Rich is saying I believe.

13. The illegal alien problems are beyond philosophical and Americans are sick to death of the enormous impact the entire scope of the problem has on their daily lives, not just oil. Nobody's relaxing, nobody's shuting up. Americans are getting louder. American's are tolerant, compassionate people, which is a also a part of the problem. Americans now know, after suffering for awhile and realizing they no longer have their own communities, they are fed up. Of course, having the media project the illegal alien images raising their fists, flying upside down flags, flying foreign flags, provocing our law enforcement (the aliens get what they came for), and insult Americans, calling them racists, does not win them friends. But they don't care anyway. They are not here to win friends.
Deportation is not a bad thing, and it's certainly not "nazi like" by a long shot. What a ridiculous comparison.
Jean at 12:22PM on May 7th 2007
14. Dear Jean,
I realize Tancredo may not be supporting mass deportation. If you do then tell me your plan and the costs to implement etc... My comparison to nazis is stretched I admit but I am looking at it in terms of moving millions of undesirable people, germany did that in WWII. Our intent is different but the effect will probably cause much suffering on both sides. Anyone who is illegal and disrupts and takes the USA in vain should be arrested and dealt with right away. No issue there.

15. tancredo does have a point there regarding immigration (now that it has hit the northern part of the states on how much of a problem illegal immigration is), but unfortunately, America wants more than a 1 issue candidate. remember bush and his 1 issue, war on terrorism? but lo and behold, it is costing America so much more! atleast tancredo is stating it like it is.!!!
