Seemingly from out of nowhere, Texas Republican Ron Paul has made a huge splash in both Republican debates. The former Libertarian Party candidate for president is a hit on YouTube. He has consistently provided some of the most entertaining sound-bites of the race thus far. Last night's performance was no exception. Here's a montage.
There's a little something in there to piss everybody off. Abolish the Department of Energy, the Department of Education (he wasn't alone in this suggestion), and the Department of Homeland Security? That's some pretty strong stuff. Right wing pundits have had enough of the side-show, however, and are massing to denounce Paul as way out of step with the party. But just why has the candidate with the coolest name (even better than Rudy McRomney) gained so much political traction? Simple, he was never for the Iraq war, and wants to put an end to it immediately. Now there's a popular message.

1. As i Posted In an earlier Comment I do not think that was right to say at anytime. But yes homeland security whats that oh its the presidents joke on america due to teh fact it serves no one. Its just a title he gave to give a friend a job. What has it done so far nothing but watch americans. which there are some americans like the oklahoma bombings out there. But also look at the illegal immigrants that could be terrorist that they do not even know where there at, but they know what americans are doing more then the illegals. hint fort dix they got lucky on. unless they step up the next time we might not be as lucky.

2. Ron Paul is a solid “Goldwater Republican.” The other guys are right wing extremist. Ron Paul is telling us exactly what Goldwater told us in 1963: stay out of other people’s business. He’s right Bush 1 caused 911 by not backing Iraq’s claims against Kuwait and Saudi Arabia for financial compensation for protecting them from Iran. Ron Paul makes more sense than all the other Republicans combined. He’s the true Republican to those other guys. They want him out because he makes them look like what they are, afraid to face down the right wing of their own party.

3. Finally, an honest Republican.

5. Don't be so quick, all candidates attempt to say what the majority wants to hear during the election, and once in office they screw us all.
What I laugh at is all these guys who praised Bush, now want to quote Ronald Reagan, who ran around quoting JFK all the time.

6. GOOD JOB!!
I AGREE WITH BILL BYRD'S COMMENT!!
RON HAS THEM RUNNING SCARED, BUT MUST SAY...HE HAS THE MEDIA RUNNING SCARED TOO, SHEWW...AMAZING WHAT HONESTY CAN DO TO GREEDY PEOPLE.
WATCHING THE DEBATES LAST NIGHT WAS LIKE WATCHING GROWN CHILDREN IN LA LA LAND. I WAS EMBARRASSED FOR THEM.
DO THEY ALL THINK US AMERICANS ARE GOING TO SIT AROUND AND WATCH THEM PLAY STRATEGO WITH OUR LIVES!
TRUTH IS SO MANY THINGS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED IN THE BEGINNING. WE WOULD NOT EVEN BE DEBATING A WAR, HEALTH CARE, IMMIGRANTS, ETC. OUR LEADERSHIP HAS FAILED US.... YES WE MUST MAKE CHANGES AND DEAL WITH THE CONCERNS OVER THE WAR, (WE DONT HAVE A CHOICE) MISTAKE MADE!
IM TICKLED PINK RON IS PISSING OFF SO MANY. IT’S ABOUT TIME CHANGES ARE MADE. WE SIT HERE HEARING THE SAME O SAME O WITH OUR COUNTRY ONLY BECOMING DEEPER IN DEBT, OUR CHILDREN BEING RAISED WITHOUT THEIR PARENTS, CHILDREN GOING HUNGRY IN OUR COUNTRY AND MOST ARE WORRIED ABOUT ABORTIONS. GIVE ME A BREAK!
I REMEMBER WHEN OUR COUNTRY WAS STRONG, OUR MILITARY BASES WERE FULL. AMERICANS BELIEVED IN SOMETHING - HOPE - GROWTH - SECURITY. IT IS NO LONGER LIKE THAT, WE ALL LIVE ON THE EDGE (DAILY) MOST NOT EVEN KNOWING IF WE WILL HAVE A HOME, GOOD SCHOOLS, JOBS & A FUTURE FOR OUR CHILDREN. ALL DUE TO THE FACT THAT OUR OWN GOVERMENT IS BLEEDING US DRY.
ITS REALLY ASHAME THEY CAN PLAY WITH OUR LIVES, WE ARE NOTHING MORE THAN BUMS TO THEM, THEY HANG MAJOR RULES AND REGULATIONS OVER OUR HEADS. IF WE DONT BEHAVE THEY TAKE WHAT WE HAVE. IF THEY DONT BEHAVE THEY HAVE A STIFF DRINK AND LAUGH ABOUT HOW MUCH MORE THEY GAINED FROM US THAT DAY.
WHY DOESNT ANYONE WANT TO TALK ABOUT THE REAL THINGS GOING ON IN OUR COUNTRY TODAY? I KNOW FOR OURSELVES, WE WORK LIKE DOGS, WE TAKE CARE OF MY PARENTS, HIS PARENTS, ALL KNOWS THE ELDERLY HAVE NOTHING, 600.00 A MONTH JUST DONT DO IT...WE HELP OUR CHILDREN MAKE ENDS MEET, SUPPORT OUR GRANDCHILDREN, SUPPORT OUR LOCAL TOWN & EVENTS, AND THEN PAY OUR TAXES, AWW THOSE GREAT TAXES THAT WHEN ALL SAID AND DONE THEY GET A GOOD 30% -PLUS - OF EVERYTHING WE MAKE. THAT IS OUTRAGEOUS TO ALL THE HARD WORKING AMERICANS. NO WONDER WE HAVE SO MANY ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, THEY COME TO HAVE THE BEST FREE RIDE OF THEIR LIVES, ON OUR EXPENSE!
JUST CURIOUS HERE?
WAS EVERY GUEST IN S.C. KIN TO RUDY GIULIANI? THEY SURE ACTED RELATED. 911 IS HUGE, (MAJOR) BUT GIULIANI WASNT THE ONLY HEROS DURING THAT TIME? JUST ASK THE NEW YORKERS.
ANOTHER ISSUE ON MY MIND FOR THE MEDIA: WHAT IS WITH HE LOOKS LIKE A PRESIDENT? HE CARRIES HIMSELF LIKE A PRESIDENT? HIS SUIT WAS PERFECT? HE IS YOUNGEST ENOUGH TO BE PRESIDENT? HEAVEN HELP US ALL, WHAT ON EARTH DOES SOMEONES IMAGE HAVE TO DO WITH RUNNING OUR COUNTRY?
THANK YOU RON PAUL, YOU ARE RIGHT ON TRACK, YOU ARE A REAL PERSON, I TIP MY HAT TO YOU HUGE TIME.
I PRAY YOU BECOME OUR PRESIDENT BEFORE SOMETHING REALLY, REALLY BAD HAPPENS (OUR COUNTRY IS SO WEAK RIGHT NOW)) o:

7. I agree with every word that came out of Ron Paul's mouth during that debate. Out of all the Republicans and Democrats running, he is the only one I would consider voting for.

8. Sorry Dave And All I Hade Some Surgery Done A Few Days Ago Still Not Up To Par. But Ron Paul Needs To Go To Cuba With His New Anti American Buddy Mikey Moore.

9. Are you kidding me? Ron Paul provides the most entertaining comments? I think he might have PROVOKED the most entertaining comments from Rudy Giuliani. Has Rudy ever read the 9/11 Commission Report? Doesn't he know why Osama bin Laden hates America? I'll give him, and the author of this "article," a hint:
When you bother other people, it's annoying.
So, ATTENTION: AOL and David Knowles
Americans like this guy because he's got a lot of truth in what he says. The media hates him because he's got a lot of truth in what he says.
I'm ready for a new morning in America.

10. These Rep candidates have to win their party's nomination. So they are going to be as hard to the right as they can be. Few seem to point ou that our country has moved to the right that the only thing that makes you a liberal anymore is disagreeing with Bush. And whoever said these guys aren't really Republicans was right on. These guys are NeoConservatives - the people that hijacked the Republican party. They need to get rid of them and fast.

11. Paul has a good chance because he will continue to win debates and his Internet support weighs more than his competitors money. Frankly, I think Paul knows more about foreign policy than any of the other candidates but, personally, I hold that terrorism has more to do with the quest for Islamic domination (globalism) than with our bombs. Their religious motivation trumps all else, so we have no business negotiating anything there. Just pump U.S. oil and let them slip back into darkness.

13. Paul is hilarious! Giuliani was grandstanding at the debate - acting like he was the only one who felt the harm of 9/11. What a jerk!

14. God help us if the the ballot for president presents us with the option of voting for either Hillary Clinton or Ron Paul! If that is going to be the case, why don't we stop wasting everybody's time and do the inevitable right now?...Wave the white flag!

15. Ron Paul is not your typical politician. He's an honest man. Hard to find these days.
