Mitt Romney also has a new TV spot out today. The gist of it? If the former governor of Massachusetts can wield his brand of "conservative principles" there, he must be able to do so anywhere. Give it a watch below, and get more details from AP:
If you care to read it, here's my local's take:
Disclaimer: As one of the editors of this blog, I try (with varying degrees of success) to leave my politics at my AOL cubicle's edge. But I'm from Massachusetts, and therefore quite familiar with Mitt Romney's record, as well as what he told Massachusetts voters to get himself elected to the governor gig.
So the following is more a defense of my home state rather then a political statement: For a candidate to sneer at the people he pandered to so diligently for over five years says quite a bit about the man. It's a like a teen-mean girl sidling up to the school bookworm, acting like BFFs to get homework answers and then turning around and laughing at the kid with her real friends. It isn't attractive behavior for a high schooler, and it certainly isn't for a presidential wannabe.

2. Kathleen, you sound like you're from another planet.Or are you from a very dark corner of the state that you never see the light?
KaM at 4:37AM on May 25th 2007
3. Kathleen is right about that. Others will see the true colors of this shifty-eyed snake (oil salesman). He will say/do anyyyythingggg. And he really did badmouth our state of Massachusetts! He is obnoxious and arrogant. His poor wife Ann, he never allowed her to have a career! When she could at 49ish, the poor thing got MS!! (9 years ago). Ann seems nice but she really has to be quiet, like Laura, right? ;)

4. Jacey, its people like you and Kathleen with those kind of opions and views that would support ignorant and senseless leaders over those that do the right thing and stand for JUSTICE FOR ALL policy. If Governor Romney balanced your State budget four(4) years in a row as a Conservative Governor you should be appreciative and be greatful that you didn't have to pay more taxes.Unless you don't know the difference between night and day, lighten up you all.

6. Jacey...when are you gonna learn that you don't judge a book by it's cover?? You know that the large majority of people agree that Romney is VERY good looking and hasn't got a stain of scandel in his background. Ann could work whenever and if she wanted to but decided to be an excellent wife and mom to her 5 sons instead (the right choice). I greatly admire her and Mitt. When you can't find fault with a candidate with a perfect record (compared to the others on both sides), don't get so personal will ya! Mitt is the best choice for prez for many reasons but most of all because he can be trusted, is highly intelligent, has wisdom and commonsense, great inovator and organizer has the well being of this nation and people at heart and he has a fun sense of humor. Vote for Mitt!

7. Very effective AD! It's about time we have a candidate that has actually experience in dispelling the myths and evils of liberalism and getting effective legislation passed in spite of the liberal propaganda machine. It's refreshing to see a candidate speak the truth and have the right intentions. This contrasts the lies and arrogance of the liberal left which is supported only by untruth.

8. vivienne k !! You sound pathetic. You cannot even comprehend anything. And BTW to all of us who really are great-looking (and a lot of people are!) no, Mitt is merely average-he dyes his hair and denies it rofl-he walks like he's gay-his eyes are scary looking-I will get personal if I want , fool. In my state we are glad the Mormon quack is gone. The rest of his family look like the Osmonds exactly-nothing special-just a big group of over-populating nothings. I really think Mitt has his five lifeless sons posting everywhere-that is sad.

9. Why are the people of a country founded on religious freedom so quick to tear at an individual who is active in his church and supportive of his own religion? Mormons were treated unjustly by the people in this country in the early years of their church. Is this unjustness to continue? If a persons personal religion is a question of qualification for the presidency, then let's investigate ALL of the candidates religious preference not just the Mormon!
