Very quietly, back in 2006 the meticulous records of who visited Dick Cheney's private residence were placed under lock and key. Why should we care how many times Satan and Tinky Winky came to tea at the Cheney manse? Well, the timing of the decision, it turns out, is a bit revealing:The letter regarding the vice president's residence was in addition to an agreement quietly signed between the White House and the Secret Service a year ago when questions were raised about visits to the executive compound by convicted influence peddler Jack Abramoff. The non-profit watchdog group, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, has filed a lawsuit to have a gander at who has been dropping by the Cheneys' in recent years, so the log books now reside with the Secret Service, who had planned to hand them over to the vice president and, no doubt, an arsenal of paper shredders. In fact, it was Cheney's office who requested the tight lid on the records in the first place, and you can read the somewhat blurry letter in question at CREW's website.

1. Since leaders of the Religious Right are in the hip pockets of Bush and Cheney, I'd like to know the Conservative Christians were that visited with Cheney. I'm very concerned over the fact that the Religious Right is out to demonize and make worse the lives of Gay Americans in this country.

2. Of course Dickie had his Haliburton buddies over too. It would be interesting to find what other "snakes in the grass" he's had over at his place.
C'mon Dick - what have you got to hide??????

3. You state that it is Mr. Cheney's PRIVATE residence, so whomever he choses to invite to visit him there should also be PRIVATE - just as whom I invite to visit my hom is my PRIVATE business.

5. After reading some of Gore's new book on line about Bush, is it any wonder that the vp of the USA is a sneak? They have been lining their pockets and their cronies at the expense of the rest of us, while killing off needlessly our young people. Cheney is a public servant not a master of serfs.

7. Cheney is a dishonest and corrupt vice president who needs to hide his devious clandestine dealings with others like himself.

8. #3 Toby. When you become a Politician (Public Servant) you have no private life. When people like Bush and Cheney or any Politician have "Life and Death control over our lives", I would very much be interested as to what creeps visit his home. What has he got to hide????? Maybe "Bin Laden" is visiting him also members from "Halliburton" and the "Oil Industry". After all, every one of them have something in common, they are all evil. I don't care if everyone knows who is visiting me. Maybe it's because I have nothing to hide, and he does, otherwise what’s the big deal?????. Has to be someone he doesn't want us to know about. The arrogance just goes on and on and on.

9. If it was his PRIVATE Residence than yes he should have some privacy but when it is on GOVERMENT Property or if it is payed for by the people than the "RIGHT to PRIVACY" is forfeited by him swearing in and taking office and by him moving in to GOVERMENT quarters.

12. It seems that when Bill Clinton was "sinning"with Monica we kept hearing about "The People's House" and the rule of law. Did we sell the house? Does it no longer belong to the American people? Did this administration sell to the highest bidder? Maybe so. Only about 2 more years!

13. Where is the "MEDIA" now???? why aren't they questioning this latest bit of arrogance from Cheney?????? I guess they either have no "Balls" like the new Democratic Congress, or they all have a special interest in this latest cash$$$$$$$$$$$$ windfall. The Media helped to get Clinton impeached on one little lie that had nothing to do with running the country but now, they along with this Democratic Congress????? stand silent while an Administration is destroying our country with lies that have everything to do with running this country and our lives. The Media is the Media, but you Ms. Pelosi and the present Democratic Congress ought to hang your heads in shame. The Republicans had no problems trying to bring down Clinton with 1/100th of the reasons you have. They made use of that one little lie about a personal matter, but you still sit idly by while they "Bush/Cheny" continue to ignore the demands of the majority of the people. We might just as well have a Republican Congress back because in my opinion "You as a Democratic Congress are all useless.

14. This is not a Cheney or an Bush thing, this activity has been going on since the Secret Services has been assigned to protect the Vice President. Even the Almighty Gore's records were destroyed. What was he hiding and who visited him is secret? Please people grow up.

15. I know and this should be the case for all the citizens of this country that this country is ruled by secrecy since before its independence. The visitor(s) at Vp's residence is none other than those who rule America behind the scene. Those you don't see but rule. Those who have been conspiring since before the independance of America.
