Okay, it's official, I'm not voting for Hillary Clinton come the Democratic primary. Maybe this was the case all along, but now the deal is sealed. The reason? Her supporters have decided to use Celine Dion's "You and I" as their official theme song.
Talk about pandering and playing it safe. Why not just go with some muzak? This is an affront to all people with even remotely sophisticated musical tastes. And Celine is French-Canadian, too. Good lord, this shows a serious lack of judgment. I can only hope that the website has merely been hacked, and that it's all a crazy mix-up. Celine Dion might be an automatic disqualifier for the general election, too, but we've yet to hear which Charlie Daniels or Kenny Rogers track Fred Thompson will select as his inspirational background music.
And yes, this 'Sopranos' parody starring Bill and Hill that doesn't quite reveal the song choice was, I admit, pretty funny:
UPDATE: It turns out that the Celine song was originally written for an Air Canada television commercial. Seriously. So vote for Hillary and fly Air Canada!

33. Does the author of this story have a problem French-Canadian heritage or does he just not like Celine Dion who happens to live, work, and pay taxes in the United States? Whether you like Hilary Clinton or Celine Dion - you can't deny that she is an excellent campaigner and has you all talking about her candidacy and receiving national exposure.

40. What's with all the emotion? What's hate got to do with it? Where are the ideas? Ideas to get us out of Iraq and maybe save some lives in the process? What about ideas about lessening our energy dependence? What about trillion dollar debt? Dollars and sense,common sense run a government well! Hatred and all its waste of energy accomphlishs only hatred and nothiing else. Think about the founding fathers,they were men and women who stood against a powerful foe and won! 42. All I know is I want to see someone else besides a rich white guy in there.
