Okay, it's official, I'm not voting for Hillary Clinton come the Democratic primary. Maybe this was the case all along, but now the deal is sealed. The reason? Her supporters have decided to use Celine Dion's "You and I" as their official theme song.
Talk about pandering and playing it safe. Why not just go with some muzak? This is an affront to all people with even remotely sophisticated musical tastes. And Celine is French-Canadian, too. Good lord, this shows a serious lack of judgment. I can only hope that the website has merely been hacked, and that it's all a crazy mix-up. Celine Dion might be an automatic disqualifier for the general election, too, but we've yet to hear which Charlie Daniels or Kenny Rogers track Fred Thompson will select as his inspirational background music.
And yes, this 'Sopranos' parody starring Bill and Hill that doesn't quite reveal the song choice was, I admit, pretty funny:
UPDATE: It turns out that the Celine song was originally written for an Air Canada television commercial. Seriously. So vote for Hillary and fly Air Canada!

47. I met Celine Dion in Las Vegas last weekend at CAESARS, and I introduced myself to her and said I was a fan. She totally ignored me, like I was a piece of crap. If not for FANS, she'd still be singing in Canada to the ice cubes. So I shouted out to her back as she walked on, "I really loved your song from THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE too!" She turned and snapped "TITANIC!!!" at me with that little tiny crooked mouth of hers in that big ugly face. She sucks almost as much as Hillary does. heehee

He wanted "Born in the USA", but Springstein refused because he felt as though Reagan didn't "get" the meaning of the song, as reflected in his politics. What good is "born in the USA", when now everything is actually "made in China"? America isn't about "quality" anymore. They want "flashy and cheap", which is reflected by the current administration and the line up of Republican candidates for the 08 election. It is also reflected in this idiotic blog! You make it "official" you're not voting for Hillary because she picked a "theme song" and screw her stance on Healthcare, Foreign Policy, Education, and Global Warming. You people need to go back to only voting on American Idol! I don't need to "LIKE" people to trust that they can do the job. I don't "interview" doctors, mechanics, lawyers, or teachers, based on a "Likeability" factor, but it sure seems that it's how we choose our leaders. Celine is one of the greatest female singers in history. Hillary truly didn't go wrong in her selection of singers or of songs! You would know that if you had better taste.
