Okay, it's official, I'm not voting for Hillary Clinton come the Democratic primary. Maybe this was the case all along, but now the deal is sealed. The reason? Her supporters have decided to use Celine Dion's "You and I" as their official theme song.
Talk about pandering and playing it safe. Why not just go with some muzak? This is an affront to all people with even remotely sophisticated musical tastes. And Celine is French-Canadian, too. Good lord, this shows a serious lack of judgment. I can only hope that the website has merely been hacked, and that it's all a crazy mix-up. Celine Dion might be an automatic disqualifier for the general election, too, but we've yet to hear which Charlie Daniels or Kenny Rogers track Fred Thompson will select as his inspirational background music.
And yes, this 'Sopranos' parody starring Bill and Hill that doesn't quite reveal the song choice was, I admit, pretty funny:
UPDATE: It turns out that the Celine song was originally written for an Air Canada television commercial. Seriously. So vote for Hillary and fly Air Canada!

62. when bill was pres, hill was supposed to be running things. do u suppose the reverse will prevail? as to
the song, well anything that sounds good to her is the right choice. as for gw, we'd have been better off if he never was heard from, and hopefully we won't have to again.what a nut. choosing his own words reveals his intelligence.

63. The only female worthy of running as president or vice president is Condeliza Rice. Rudy would do well choosing her as a running mate. Hillary is a political ROSIE O'DONNELL!

64. Yup! "It's the end of the world as we know and I FEEL FINE" I think that is a GREAT song for her. Anything that would put an end to this world run by an IDIOT who makes decision with what seems like a negative number of brain cells would be WONDERFUL!!!!!

65. I find it quite ironic she selects Celine Dion, a wonderful singer and person, but famous for a song about a SINKING SHIP, (Titanic).

66. All you vitriolic writers should know that such intense hatred makes you physically sick. When your body starts to disintegrate, you'll know why. Start loving people and giving people the benefit of the doubt. You should take the time to meet and speak with Hillary and I guarantee you'll see a different side than what the media portrays. She's our best hope for this country!!

67. We don't need such trash in our White House. Go back in the sticks where she belongs.

68. Hillary should be sued for copy right infringement.
Why would anyone be so unimaginative as to copy this scene?
Hillary rode her husbands coat tails to get where she is now she is trying to ride David Chase's coat tails, that should tell us something.
She will destroy all we hold dear if she gets elected I pray this country sends her back to the
place she came from.

69. If there is anything scarey about Hillary's theme song, its the comments above. Someone "seals the deal and wont vote for Hillary because of a song?" All I can say is there isnt much depth in that response and I hope if someone decides not to vote for any candidate, they base it on something with more substance than the choice of a campaign song. Grow up and ponder some of the really important issues surrounding this election.

70. Well one thing is certain, I pray to God that she never considers acting after this. I liked the ending though

71. The only thing worse than George W. Bush would be Hillary Clinton.

72. I wouldn't vote for Hillary in a million years, now it may be 10 million. I actually barred the DJ at my wedding from playing Celine Dion and have been known to "tip" DJ's at clubs anywhere from $20 to $100 (depending upon the quality of the club) NOT to play Celine Dion while I'm in attendance.
Here's my top-five songs that do a much better job of capturing the essence of the Hillary Clinton campaign:
5. "It's the end of the world as we know it" (only I DON'T feel fine!) by REM
4. "All Screwed Up" by AC/DC
3. "I wanna be sedated" (especially if she wins!) by the Ramones
2. "We've Got a Bigger Problem Now" (again, especially if she wins) by Dead Kennedys
1. "Devil's Daughter" by Ozzy

73. There is no possible way anyone could mess up this country more than the current President. However,Rudy Giuliani would turn this country into a police state;he is a frightening prospect at best. Now that l've gotten the negativity out of the way,l'd just like to say:HILLARY FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!!!

75. Celine's song was not on the original list. I believe there was a plot by the GOP to stuff the ballot for the written-in song so as to embarass Hillary. I voted for the Journey song; Bill wanted "I'm a Beliver" by Smashmouth. Hillary's video was funny; let's keep it at that, folks!
