Okay, it's official, I'm not voting for Hillary Clinton come the Democratic primary. Maybe this was the case all along, but now the deal is sealed. The reason? Her supporters have decided to use Celine Dion's "You and I" as their official theme song.
Talk about pandering and playing it safe. Why not just go with some muzak? This is an affront to all people with even remotely sophisticated musical tastes. And Celine is French-Canadian, too. Good lord, this shows a serious lack of judgment. I can only hope that the website has merely been hacked, and that it's all a crazy mix-up. Celine Dion might be an automatic disqualifier for the general election, too, but we've yet to hear which Charlie Daniels or Kenny Rogers track Fred Thompson will select as his inspirational background music.
And yes, this 'Sopranos' parody starring Bill and Hill that doesn't quite reveal the song choice was, I admit, pretty funny:
UPDATE: It turns out that the Celine song was originally written for an Air Canada television commercial. Seriously. So vote for Hillary and fly Air Canada!

91. Well, I guess anyone touched in the head enough to give themselves the screen name Go Rudy! is naive enough to buy into the thrice-married, faux-hero's line of BS.
On David Letterman recently, Rudy Gee, when asked how he would try to resolve US involvement in DubyaDubya3, Chicken George's privatized, for-profit war in Iraq, proclaimed that he would "stay on the offensive ~ just keep pounding Iraq militarily for as long as it takes to get the job done."
All I could think was, "Uh, what job is that?"
I suppose he was suggesting that, should we continue to kill and maim innocent Iraqis, whose great misfortune it has been to be living in that country during the two decades in which the American War Machine adopted a young warrior named Saddam Hussein, propped him up with all the firepower and filthy lucre a would-be despot could possibly desire, (Ahh, yes ~ the Mass Grave Years!) only to run him to ground (Perhaps "underground" is more apropos. Who will ever forget "SpideyHole II: Combing for Head Lice") when he no longer suited our purposes...
... Maybe then, when the scope of destruction in Iraq has reached, shall we say, critical mass, and our own body count has climbed to a number sufficient to rationalize the endeavor as having been "deeply regrettable, but wholly necessary nonetheless" ~ maybe by then the Iraqi people will have come to accept they truly were responsible for the attacks on this country Sept. 11, 2001.
WHAT THE !!!!
Yeah, probably not.
But, here's the good news:
If our Commander-&-Thief, aka, President Ernest T. Bass, continues to pout, stomp his feet and hold his breath until he turns blue, perhaps by the time we are miraculously able to extract our troops from that country with even a shred of U.S. dignity still intact, the Pentagon will have completed their new $50 million research study.
Haven't heard about it? Oh, boy. Are you gonna love this.
Thus far, more than 45,000 American men and women who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan are seeking medical attention and treatment for PTSD.
You know ~ Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Well, now, the four branches of the military were just completely caught off-guard by this revelation, and, quite frankly, needed some guidance as to how they should proceed.
Can't very well proceed without money, right? So, sensing a major health problem and mental health epidemic looming on the horizon, the military asked for, and received, the $50 million in taxpayer funds.
Phew! That was close, huh? Thank God these brave young men and women will now get the help they so desperately want and need.
WHAT'S THAT?
The $50 million is not "specifically" designated for the purpose of treating those returning home with PTSD?
NOPE.
The Pentagon wanted that money to finance "independent studies" designed with the goal of determining whether PTSD is, in fact, a "true medical condition" at all. Makes sense, right? Why should they be forced to pay for treatment of one of these "New Age" afflictions?
I mean, a soldier, whether he's 17 or 47, goes to war with the emotinal wherewithal and mental toughness he has, not with that he "wishes" he had.
How are they to know when someone is really sick or just, you know ~ bein' a big pussy? Back in the day, they had three words for returning servicemen and women, not four.
You know what those three words were?
GET OVER IT.

94. WHY DON'T YOU ALL JUST SHUT UP, NOT ONE OF YOU BLOGGERS, (ME INCLUDED) HAVE THE BRAINS, STAMINA, TACT, OR EXPERIENCE TO RUN FOR OFFICE. I LOVE THAT WE CAN BLAH, BLAH, BLAH AGAINST CANDIDATES IN THIS COUNTRY, BUT I WANT A SMART, WORLDLY WISE, EXPERIENCED IN INTERNATIONAL INTRIGUE, EXPOSED TO CULTURES BEYOND OUR OWN, WITH A BACK UP IN CASE OF A BAD JUDGEMENT CALL, PRESIDENT. PERSONALLY, I LOVE A TWO FOR ONE VOTE. BECAUSE IT WON'T BE A CHENEY/BUSH IMPERIAL HOUSE. IT MIGHT JUST BE DEMOCRATIC. AMEN
I WANT HILLARY, BECAUSE SHE IS NOT GOING TO LET YOU SMALL MINDED - "FOLKS" (AS BUSH WOULD CALL YOU), HINDER THE PROGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA FROM TAKING ITS RIGHTFUL PLACE AMONG THE OTHER NATIONS OF THE WORLD, BOTH AS A MEMBER AND LEADER. WE WILL NEVER BE, NOR SHOULD WE EVER BE SO SHUNNED THAT WE WILL BE FORCED TO BECOME ISOLATIONISTS.
THAT SAID, I AGREE THE SONG CHOICE BY CELINE WAS A BAD ONE. SEE, WE CAN GET ALONG.

95.
Why didn't Hillary stick to using a Fleetwood Mac song like her husband and George W. Bush did ?
"Don't Stop" and "Over My Head" worked out pretty well for those two.

96. Ron Paul's Theme Song
For a price I'd do about anything
Except pull the lever
For that I'd need a pretty good cause
Then I heard of Dr. Paul
The man with the cure
Just watch the television
Yeah, you'll see there's something going on
Got no love for politicians
Or that crazy scene in D.C.
It's just a power mad town
But the time is ripe for changes
There's a growing feeling
That taking a chance on a new kind of vision is due
I used to trust the media
To tell me the truth, tell us the truth
But now I've seen the payoffs
Everywhere I look
Who do you trust when everyone's a crook?
Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Revolution calling you
(There's a) Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through
I'm tired of all this BS
They keep selling me on T.V.
About the terrorist plan
And all the shady preachers
Begging for my cash
Swiss bank accounts while giving their
Secretaries the slam
They're all in Penthouse now
Or Playboy magazine, million dollar stories to tell
I guess Warhol wasn't wrong
Fame fifteen minutes long
Everyone's using; everybody making the sale
I used to think
That only America's way, way was right
But now the holy dollar rules everybody's lives
Gotta make a billion doesn't matter who dies
Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Revolution calling you
(There's a) Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through
I used to trust the media
To tell me the truth, tell us the truth
But now I've seen the payoffs
Everywhere I look
Who do you trust when everyone's a crook?
Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Revolution calling you
(There's a) Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through
