Readers of this blog will recall that last week Rudy Giuliani lost a state fundraising chairman, Thomas Ravenel, to the lure of cocaine distribution. Fortunately for America's Mayor, a replacement has been found. In fact, it's none other than Ravenel's father, Arthur.
A former South Carolina state senator, Arthur is a legend in local politics. Hell, he even has a bridge named after him in Charleston. Seems like a solid choice to get out there and represent Rudy, right? Well, er, maybe not:
An ardent supporter of the Confederate flag, he infuriated the NAACP--who wanted the banner off the Statehouse dome--by calling the organization the "National Association of Retarded People" at a flag rally. Ravenel said he was thinking of an event he ad to attend the next day. When black leaders demanded an apology, Ravenel apologized to retarded people. That was the first time folks talked of taking his name off the new bridge...Okay, he's so dim-whited that he can't even come up with an acronym that fits NAACP? Wow, strike two for the Ravenel family. But don't give up, Rudy, maybe they have an uncle or cousin somewhere who you could hire next.

1. I usually don't fall into these kinds of "guilt by association" traps, but this one kind of eliminates any kind of possibility that I'd ever vote for Guiliani. Hell, it'd be hard to vote for any Repulican when I stop to think about how typical this Ravenel guy is amongst their supporters here in the South.

2. I shake my head when people claim they want change in the States but they support Rudy Giuliani. I don't understand it nor I ever will. But I guess money talks and I shouldn't believe that there really is that many people supporting this loser.

5. Rudy is a big mouth...his only way to get back is to attack others...he did it to David Dinkins back in the 80's becaus he didn't win the election for mayor and David did. Then when it was time for re-elect he attck him with some many he told about David Dinkins the folks in New York elected the fool for mayor. He is only out for himself not for the people. When 911 happen he didn't do a damn thing he just wanted credit for nothing. It was the NYC finest and the Fire Dept and NYC folks that help not Rudy. He is not even good enough to be on running for a President seat. If you think we in trouble now...Now he want to attack our former president Bill Clinton. 8. Who ever wasted their time writing this blog obviously has nothing better to do than waste other peoples time. SOme people have all day to sit at their computer and complain about everything in the entire world, but never stand up to do anything about it. 13. Any person who can actually sit as an American citizen and claim that it was Rudi Gulliani's fault for what happened on 9/11 and there after is crazy. No one in this blessed country knew what to say or do when the first attack happened. Everyone thought it was an accident or a problem with the plane when the flight hit the first tower. Everyone is quick to forget what this war is really about. Democrats want to make it political, IT IS NOT. It is very much a religious war, and the people who attacked us the first time will continue. If we stop now, we may as well blow ourselves up, because the terrorists everyone seems to think don't exist, very much do.
