Readers of this blog will recall that last week Rudy Giuliani lost a state fundraising chairman, Thomas Ravenel, to the lure of cocaine distribution. Fortunately for America's Mayor, a replacement has been found. In fact, it's none other than Ravenel's father, Arthur.
A former South Carolina state senator, Arthur is a legend in local politics. Hell, he even has a bridge named after him in Charleston. Seems like a solid choice to get out there and represent Rudy, right? Well, er, maybe not:
An ardent supporter of the Confederate flag, he infuriated the NAACP--who wanted the banner off the Statehouse dome--by calling the organization the "National Association of Retarded People" at a flag rally. Ravenel said he was thinking of an event he ad to attend the next day. When black leaders demanded an apology, Ravenel apologized to retarded people. That was the first time folks talked of taking his name off the new bridge...Okay, he's so dim-whited that he can't even come up with an acronym that fits NAACP? Wow, strike two for the Ravenel family. But don't give up, Rudy, maybe they have an uncle or cousin somewhere who you could hire next.

white House in 2001..He had nothing to do or say about the bombing of the NY trade center, but rudy was there...HE DID NOTHING...BUSH WAS IN THE WHITE

18. Mary at, you are right ON. Our country has not seen any good years w/the present administration and it keeps getting worse. The Clinton years were very good for the country and why blame him for terrorisim? If you read back you will see that he, Pres. Clinton, inherited that part from previous administrations. If this country had enough well read citizens they would be able to come up with a wise,strong & intelligent president, one who could be an Ambasador to the world and bring people together instead of gaining disrespect and hatred the way the Present administration has done. I have read a lot about Hillary and have come to the conclusion that she with her husband can take us out of this mess, bring peace and make friendships around the world instead of hatred, which is what we now have.

20. Have never responded to a blog before,BUT......reading some of these absurd comments about Giuliani just made me have to respond. I mam not a great surrorter of him being a retired NYPD officer and spending 17 years in the reserves, I have to say that given the current field of candidates, he is BY FAR the best choice. I love the comment from Sally Rathbone, who I am sure is a liberal minded person that she can't vote for that adulterer. Liberals seem to think freedom of speech is ONLY for them, that's why they always shout down anyone who disagrees with them. For the record, Clinton did very little except smile( unless you were a female working UNDER him) the peanut farmer started this by letting our people languiksh in Iran for over a year and emboldened our enimies. And for our Afro-Americans, did you know that LINCOLN was a Republican. Now you liberals can ramble on, and on, and on.....

21. You said it yourself, David- Arthur is a legend in politics. Giuliani picked him for a good reason...because everyone knows the man! He's good at what he does and it just so happens that he's a little eccentric.
But before you go too far off the deep end in nit-picking silly things just so you have something to hate on the republicans about (specifically Giuliani), let's talk about your writing. This "blog" has nothing of substance because it's so short! Most of what you wrote was a quote from someone else. You don't have anything intelligent or thoughtful to put down? It's ok, I understand, most Democrats don't. Seriously though, how about toning down the sarcasm a notch and write something that requires some time and effort.
Next on the list of items to nit-pick at you for would be your typos. It's not too complicated to go back over what you read and figure out you've made a couple errors. No, I'm not just talking about this one either, I've read some of your other liberal propaganda, and they're all the same: crap with misspellings and typos.
So, once you lengthen what you have to say and correct some silly errors and write about something USEFUL or PROACTIVE, your blogs will continue to fall under critical assessments.

23. Ifeel,for the live's and familys that lost love ones in 9/11.But i got awful tired of seeing Rudy trying to gain political ground from it. HE ,really showed his ignorance in trying to be somebody that he wasn't. he is as ignorant as the bushes ,the way i see it. PERSONALLY,i think they must b e cousins.
