Paul's cash on hand puts him in third place in the Republican field in that important metric, although he is well behind leader Rudy Giuliani, who has $18 million in the bank, and Mitt Romney, with $12 million.
On the one hand, this shows the dismal turn of events for McCain. But the fact that Paul is more liquid than all the other Republicans running is something of a surprise. Though it is highly doubtful that Paul has any real chance of winning the nomination, his continued rise from national obscurity is something to consider. He boasts an impressive and fervent following owning to the fact that he has clearly defined principles and sticks to them. Unlike Giuliani, Romney, and McCain, you won't hear people calling Paul a flip-flopper. So long as he's allowed to participate in the debates, he will continue to draw disgruntled voters from across the political spectrum. And if he continues to raise large sums of money, he may just succeed at infusing his Libertarian-inspired issues back into the Republican party.

16. Realistic- In response to this part of your post:
"Now who in his bright mind and concern for the future of our people especially our children would buy his philosophy concerning this war on terror, definitely not this bright mind of mine.I care for my childrens and grandchildrens for their future, and his politicising of this eminent threat so that he can sell his candidacy doesn't sit well with intelligent Freedom loving American"
Realistic, have you ever read the history books concerning our overthrow of the Shaw in Iran so we could begin our takeover of the middle east oil fields? Have you not read Osama Bin Laden's letter to the American People when he tells us point blank why he is fighting us?
The attitude you have about your children and grand-children is the same attitude and reasoning many Islamic extremists use for raising their people to hate America and be willing to fight us. They want to protect their families from enemy invasion. Why would they want that? Because we've been invading and nation building for over fifty years.
Before you start spouting your "kick-ass American" political philosophy...ask yourself...why do I hate these people so much? If 9/11 is your only reason, than maybe you should look at this from their point of view. Try to understand their frustration that has been building for more than half of a century of the U.S. overthrowing their governments, taking advantage of their natural resources, killing their civilians, and bombing their countries.
Did you hate these "terrorists" before 9/11? If so, why? Because you were told to hate them by our government and media? Or because they had personally wronged you in some way. Or is it because you believe them to be an inferior culture or race?
America is not bad. Americans are not bad. But our foreign policy over the past fifty plus years has caused the problems we have now. If you can not see that, then you, sir, are a lost cause. We funded and supported Bin Laden in the 80's when he fought against the Russians in Chechnia, we funded and supported Saddam Hussein in his war with Iran. Our foreign policy is based on money, not ideology or our constitution. This must change.
We were always taught growing up "do unto others"...why can't that apply to foreign policy?
Ron Paul is the only candidate that speaks these truths. He is the first politician in my lifetime that I can truly say I believe what comes out of his mouth. He is a man of intelligence that respects history, our Constitution, and other cultures. I would be proud for him to represent our country. I'd love to see him and his policies prove you wrong.
