Deborah Palfrey, the "D.C. madam", has released her entire phone list and Sen. David Vitter, a Republican from Louisiana, is on it. But he didn't waste time getting out in front:
"This was a very serious sin in my past for which I am, of course, completely responsible," Vitter said Monday in a printed statement. "Several years ago, I asked for and received forgiveness from God and my wife in confession and marriage counseling. Out of respect for my family, I will keep my discussion of the matter there -- with God and them. But I certainly offer my deep and sincere apologies to all I have disappointed and let down in any way."I know what you're thinking. Vitter isn't up for re-election until 2010 so this came out at a really nice time politically for him. And doesn't really change things for 2008 in Lousiana. The Democratic senator, Mary Landrieu, is still up for election in 2008 and she's still in trouble, although the GOP hasn't lined up an establishment challenger yet.
Vitter's spokesman, Joel Digrado, confirmed the statement Monday evening in an e-mail to The Associated Press after a statement purported to be from Vitter was received by to the AP bureau in New Orleans.
It said his telephone number was on old phone records of Pamela Martin and Associates before he ran for the Senate.
Previously, the DC Madam had snagged an administration official. ABC allegedly had gone through the entire phone records, and said, nope, that official was the highest level one in there.
According to ABC, most of the names just aren't "newsworthy." While reports indicated that ABC would reveal at least two client's names, no new ones were revealed, including the name of the president of a conservative think tank who was alluded to in earlier reports.Boy do they have egg on their faces! Oh, I know the current release was probably an entirely different set of names and numbers, but they sure did try to close the book on the story a couple of months ago. It's still very much alive. I feel like I'm working at TMZ today!

1. I live in Louisisna and i can definately say 75% of our politicians are corrupt, immoral, idiots. Vitter has done nothing for anyone, he just comes off as a rich social elite. The only 2 people i can honestly say do any good in Louisiana are the Landrieu siblings: Lt. Gov. Mitch Landrieu and Sen. Mary Landrieu. I hope she does get re-elected because she atleast was on the ground here in New Orleans after Katrina. Even our mayr was sitting in a nice hotel room in Dallas.

3. MUST BE NICE TO LEAVE IT TO HIS WIFE AND GOD. TO BAD HE DIDN'T ALLOW THAT SAME RIGHT FOR HILLARY WHEN THEY(self-RIGHTious) PUT CLINTON IN THE FRONT OF GOD AND MAN. SO IS THAT BENEFIT ONLY FOR THE REPUBLICANS? WEREN'T THEY RUNNING ON THE HIGH MORAL, CHRISTIAN PREACHING TICKET CALLING CLINTON A "DISGRACE"? SO, WHAT DO WE CALL THEM NOW? OR IS THIS CLINTONS FAULT, again? CLINTON MUST NOT BE SO BAD IF YOU ARE FOLLOWING IN HIS FOOTSTEPS, huh?
oh, we know such things happened in washington way before clinton. the only difference is...that it stayed behind closed doors...for the "couple" to deal with. but the REPUBLICANS did everything to clinton to bring it in the front. now, they are getting hit with the same "s%@t" that they threw at clinton. bill is now laughing his "head" off!!!

5. Oh - so there were no Democratic sinners on the list? I am really impressed that the party that likes to take women swimming - and not let them surface, has finally found a way to keep it in their pants.
Oh wait , and I quote from above - According to ABC, most of the names just aren't "newsworthy" – Sorry, that just proves that there are Democratic names - just that ABC must not release them.
Give me a break. Clinton was wrong, Vitter was wrong. I think congress needs to look into a "Fairness Doctrine for News Networks” and PBS. Let’s get the slant out of the news!!!!

6. Its amazing when a Republican does something wrong its lauded by liberals as proof of hypocrisy. Clinton is often brought up. The difference is that no Republican is out there defending Vitter, or any other Republican that commits a crime. Clinton lied under oath; a crime, for which he should have been tried in a court like you or me. Any Republican lying under oath should be tried as well.Vitter should be voted out, along with Ted Kennedy, Harry Ried, John Murtha, and Senator Scum from Massachusetts. The bottom line is we all deserve better and should demand more. Both parties.

10. Dames and Gents,
In times unprecedented and tinged with despair, it is appropriate to reflect on the founding of our great nation. It was not with George Washington, but with Brutus, and not the one who killed Caeser. There was another who rebelled against the tyrant monarchy of Rome at the time, The Tarquins. He wrote the Roman Constitution that would stand for 500 years. His sons sided with the monarchy. The monarchy lost. So to punish his sons and found a perfect union, he immolated his own sons.
Machiavelli speaks fluently and voluminoulsy and voiciferously on this subject in 'The Discourses' and yet is proved wrong on several counts by the miracle of America.
He says that a nation founded in servitude, as America was a colony, will never win its freedom. He also says that a nation founded on fertile soil that is easily defended, will in time loose all of its freedoms because it will become, eventually, inevitably, sloth and sated, and will forget to protect them.
As regards 'The DC Madam', I am personally involved. You can view my involvement at http://www.maytheygetwhattheydeserve.com/KAT.html
Sometimes a mouse will lead you to a kat, and a kat can lead you to a rat and a rat, ironically, can lead you to the truth.
And the truth, as they say, and as it is written, will set you Free.
May all those who sincerely and patiently wait for freedom be free and may all those who desire to steal those freedoms find instead the dire consequences that accompany contempt for a great man like Brutus.
As regards Machiavelli,
eram sapiens tamen nefas
And again,
vox vocis publicus est vox vocis deus
May The Republic stand forever and bring the Glory of The World, with Dignity, into Its Treasury.
