Valerie Plame's lawsuit against members of the Bush administration was rightfully tossed today:
U.S. District Judge John D. Bates dismissed the case on jurisdictional grounds and said he would not express an opinion on the constitutional arguments. Bates dismissed the case against all defendants: Cheney, White House political adviser Karl Rove and former White House aide I. Lewis ``Scooter'' Libby.
The judge probably saw that Plame claimed "invasion of privacy" and when he stopped laughing decided that was enough to send the case to the dustbin where it belongs. It's amazing the ultimate media whores, Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame, even thought anyone would buy the invasion of privacy complaint. If Plame wants to sue someone for invading her privacy, she ought to start with the guy she lives with. She'll find solace in her private little world through profits on her book, movie and other intimate things.
I wonder if she'll sue Richard Armitage as he was the one who leaked her name to Novak.
This should bring a merciful end to the whole sordid mess in which a good man had his career ruined and the government spent untold millions prosecuting a case when the prosecutor knew full-well before the trial started who the leaker was. How sad for the sullen libs, no Karl Rove, no Dick Cheney and no Fitzmas after all.
Perhaps now it's time for the next prosecutor to aim their firepower at Valerie Plame who has lied more times than Scooter Libby.

2. "I wonder if she'll sue Richard Armitage as he was the one who leaked her name to Novak."
After reading your off the cuff accounting of these events it comes as no surprise that you remain unaware that Armitage was named.
God bless America ... where everyone has the right to celebrate their half baked opinions premised on the GOP's profound ability to play to the stupids.
America is a great country. We'll survive what today's Republican Party has done to us.

Wilson is getting a pay off from the Democrats ? What a crock. Joe Wilson was from a family of Republicans, was nominated by Republicans, and worked for and was recognized for his outstanding service by the first President Bush. He'a also the nephew of former California REPUBLICAN Governor Pete Wilson. Sounds like a real Democrat doesn't he ? And now he's being "paid off" by Democrats - right. What pathetic BS.
Speaking of pay-offs, how many millions has the Libby Legal Defense Fund put together for a convicted perjurer ? That's real - not some figment of someone imagination. Libby pays a fine of $250K and gets $5 million in return. That's not a payoff ? Must be nice to have friends in high places. Then again President Bush called Ken Lay a "good guy" - and this was AFTER Lay was convicted on 10 counts of such things as securities fraud, wire fraud, and perjury. Is there a message here ? Maybe the President will also pardon or commute the sentences of John Gotti, Sheik Omar (responsible for the first attack on the World Trade Center),and the members of the Chicago mafia who were or are currently being prosecuted by that oh so overzealous Patrick Fitzgerald. Maybe those folks were all just "good guys" too.
