The "anyone but Hillary" wing of the Democratic party needs to find a new candidate. Fast. Barack Obambi Obama is just not going to cut it. He's got the charm, he's got the poise, he thinks fast on is feet. That's carried him far, but do the Democrats really want to put him up against a Rudy Giuliani or Fred Thompson.
The debate Tuesday Barack Obama gave Hillary Clinton a nice opening and she took it:
The question that sparked the controversy at Monday's debate seemed simple enough: Would the candidates for president be willing to meet, within their first year in office, with the leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba and North Korea?
Obama said yes, while Clinton said no, arguing that the president should only meet with world leaders who are hostile to the United States after lower-level diplomatic contacts are conducted. In an interview today with the Quad City Times, Clinton more directly criticized Obama's answer.
"I thought that was irresponsible and frankly naive," Clinton said, according to a story posted on the newspaper's Web site.
There are several interesting things about this. One is that the campaign is going negative, they're going negative on foreign policy and experience, and that Hillary is the one here carrying the knife. That has not been their pattern to date, but this opening was probably just too good to pass up.
It's highly likely that the Clinton camp has decided that Obama is the only serious challenger unless Al Gore gets in the race. So attacking Obama will not help any other candidate like John Edwards. It's now safe to take the gloves off and take out Obama.

31. Why is it so hard to believe that Clinton was lied to and fooled by Bush. Was Obama in hours of lectures on Iraq from Colin Powell and Bush? No!!! If there was an imminent threat, which there "supposedly" was, then the right thing to do would to be authorize war. The problem is these were lies. A soon as Clinton found out, she became one of the most outspoken critics of this war. She asked how are we going to get out, Obama never asked that question. She is prepared to become president and bring our troops home safely. Obama doesn't ask questions, he doesn't challenge the administration. Why is it that Clinton is in the news fighting the White house on their policies and not Obama.
And now we have Obama calling Clinton, "Bush-Cheney like". WHAT?!?! Clinton is not like Bush. He does not favor diplomacy. By saying yes to the question asked, he was saying that in the 1st year of his presidency he would meet without conditions with dictators. You have to have conditions. Look at all the interviews with various people who worked in the state department from various presidents. All say that you have to follow the plan Clinton laid out. A president meeting with a dangerous foreign leader puts America and the president at risk. This isn't biased reporting, this is from people who worked under Reagan, Carter, & Clinton. These were interviews on all 3 news networks: CNN, FOX, & MSNBC. What is wrong with Clinton's plan of sending diplomats & statesman 1st to lay the groundwork and begin talks. Tell me someone what is wrong with that??? Clinton favors safe diplomacy, Obama favors wreck-less diplomacy. But of course most of you probably believe that the right answer was Clinton's answer, you just can't stand that Hillary Clinton is the best democrat. There are so many Hillary hater who would simply never agree with her no matter what she said or did. Its really sad too because maybe if you looked past whatever problem you have with her, you would begin to see why she is the best candidate.

32. What is so important about having to meet with leaders of Iran,Cuba,Syria and Valenzuela? An envoy is good enough to deal with them. They want to be Dictators, so don't waste our President precious time, he can deal with real foreign leaders and professionals. The only thing we can do is keep the communication line open so we can keep an eye on them and their acttivities.
