A cache of letters written by college-student Hillary Clinton were released last week and show an interesting world view. Of course most of the letters revealed that Hillary was just like every other college student in the late 1960s, self-absorbed and very liberal.
This, however is from one of her letters and shows a side of Hillary we've all grown to know:
"Since Xmas vacation, I've gone through three and a half metamorphoses and am beginning to feel as though there is a smorgasbord of personalities spread before me," Ms. Rodham wrote to Mr. Peavoy in April 1967. "So far, I've used alienated academic, involved pseudo-hippie, educational and social reformer and one-half of withdrawn simplicity."
Note the curious word "used." Generally when used in the context in which she wrote it, "used" would mean that instead of being herself, she chose other personae when dealing with people and situations. This is revealing when looking at her changing personalities since she served on the campaign trail in 1992, was first lady for two terms and as New York's junior senator.
Hillary still affects that ridiculous Southern accent when talking to audiences south of the Mason-Dixon line. Is that just a quick metamorphosis for the reason of political expediency?
I know you can't take the words written by a woman 40 years ago and expect her to be the same person. Many changes occur over time and through different experiences. However, many permanent changes in our personalities occur during college and last with us a lifetime, the constant morphing of Hillary into what she thinks she should be when talking to different audiences and people seems to have been rooted long ago and continues unabated. It is that quality that makes her such a lightning-rod, the reason people love her or hate her with very few in-between.

1. Oh please.....every single person in the world uses a "personae". HIllary is more real than anyone in the Bush campaign and any of her contendors. She will work hard for the working family. She doesn't want people STUCK in poverty. She believes that every person should have the freedom to move forward to a bigger and better life for themselves and their families. So, my friend, I think you should look in the mirror before you make accusations like that.

4. Give me a freakin break. "Every college student" being self absorbed and very liberal? What does that make "every older person"? Greedy and very fascist? Please. The only people who still use the word "liberal" or "lib" in this day and age are Konservative repukes such as limbaugh and coulter and apparently this author as well. "Progressives" are what mainstream Democrats refer to themselves today. If you ever see the "L" word used in any article (such as this one) you should automatically know it has a Konservative bias.
Also, who doesn't have different "personaes" when in different situations? Hillary spent a third of her life in the south, why wouldn't/shouldn't she have that accent? Is this the best you can do? The only reason Hillary is a "lightning rod" is because she is the first strong woman who has a very great chance at winning a presidential election. Period.

6. Some ladies are so enthralled with the idea of a first woman president they are not looking or listening to Hillary is saying and in her body lanuage. This woman does not tell the truth, now she says what you want to hear when you are with her, but it changes next time depending who the next one is.She voted for the war in Iraq, has changed her mind 10times about why, she is for socialism, she has a crooked background, this woman is loved by the terroists, she is against supporting our troops, she will make all illegals citizens, we will pay the bill she won't, make the poor rich, i don't think so. Every state, every town she has a different line, but nothing about the american people, only what she wants.She is not capable of foreign policy, her intelligence only oes as far as what she can self serve herself on.

We don't need any more from the Clintons Hillery or Bill them and there free trade what has that cost us I don't know about some of you but alot of people I know lost there jobs insurance,Bill sold us out and he and Hillery lie they would not know the truth if it were right in front of them they will tell you what they think you want to hear that's why she changes her mind as many times as she changes her panties....NO WE DON'T NEED HILLERY AND BILL... 8. oh pullleeeez...get real. who has not changed since their college days? are you still the same person since your younger days? get over it. we all grow up and we all learn from our experiences....and that is what Hillary has done. she has learned from experience, gained knowledge, and has a plan for when she becomes president. i guess you came out of your mother grown and full of knowledge? if you don't like Hillary...thats fine. but pulleeez...don't make yourself look stupid while commenting about her.

10. It seems like the only way to be taken seriously in this blog area is to seek out "Scott's" articles or blog on "Billary's"? It's apparent the Edwards has been bumped from the big dogs by two guys still undecided. Edwards is still leading in Iowa and "Billary" and "Uhbama" are locked in a dog fight. Sorry Mike Vick, it was just too easy. Billary is "Bush-lite" because she's acting like a puppet responding to the commands of a ventriloquist just like Bush did with Dick Cheney. Here's why? She said, "I don't want to be used as propaganda." It's logical to assume the first woman would be used as propaganda in any meeting. Clearly, she proved she's not moving her lips or she's not thinking. Both are dangerous threats to her Presidential aspirations. It's almost as critical as turning her back on Blacks would be to her future. Bill did snub the NAACP and that's when they started fighting. Maybe it's for good reason? Affirmative Access continued would make her "Bush lite".

13. So right you are....as well as many other things that you didn't have room to disclose. Remember the highest tax raise in history in 1993, our health insurance premiums doubled in Decmeber of 92 just prior the The Clinton administration taking office. One needs to revisit the past, learn from history or it will do worse than repeat itself.
United we will stand...divided as a nation/people will we fall! That is a fact, wre must find common ground and not agrue with one another but let those whom we have elected HEAR our voice; that is way the system was designed...if we continue to tear each other a part.... we just ruin a once wonderful free nation.

15. ah, who saves letters? was the recepient super prescient? set the "cache" aside. knowing one day hillary would go places? be a big name. then decided to open the box containing the letters as if were a fine wine? hmmm,maybe it's me. i'm a big proponent of recycling.
