There's not too many good things you could say good about the last several GOP-led Congresses. The prescription drug bill and McCain-Feingold are two of the train wreck pieces of legislation passed.
That said, at least they didn't have the audacity to steal a vote when they were losing it. No, leave that up to Nancy Pelosi's "Most Ethical Congress Ever":
As time expired on voting, the sitting House speaker, Rep. Michael R. McNulty, New York Democrat, declared the Republican measure had failed on a 214-214 tie vote. But because some members changed their votes in the final seconds of voting, the electronic tally board showed the vote as 215-213, indicating the motion had passed, when Mr. McNulty struck his gavel.
Republicans immediately called for the 215-213 tally to stand, and began walking off the House floor in protest when Mr. NcNulty allowed more members to change their votes. The final tally was 212-216, with the motion failing.
For those who don't understand the archaic procedures of the House, once the gavel comes down, things stop and the vote is final but that's not what happened here. The Democrats changed a vote in the House of Representatives in full-view of the country. They aren't even trying to hide their conniving ways anymore, even when all the facts show the GOP won the vote.
To make things worse, the bill will provide illegal aliens (yes, criminals) with hard-working Americans tax money. Talk about insult to injury. Hey, if you can't win on the issues, just cheat and steal. I guess if you have an approval rating of 3% on your handling of the Iraq war, you can't sink much deeper so why not drop any pretense of being ethical.

1. So the Dems fixed the vote, and refuse to correct it. We are use to the President and Vice President and Attorney General lying. We are used to their abuse of power. Now we have the Democrat Congress doing it too.
South Korea predicted that in 30 years the USA would be a third world country because of all the illegal immigration.
It looks like our elected representatives have already sunk that low; they have thrown out the rule of law, the notion of equality before the law, checks and balances, human rights, and honesty and integrety.

2. Gee, and they didn't even need to have the Supreme Court step in and steal their vote. A Republican apologist crying about Democrats stealing a vote comes of as nothing short of astonishing.

3. Johnny - The key vote in the SC / FL deal was 7-2 against Gore. So much for the vast right wing conspiracy there.
3% approval - with the margin of error, Congress' approval rate could be about zero percent!

4. It seems that when there is dirt to through around that out of the wood works come the pitchers. So the Dems. won a vote by a slight margin does that mean that the fixxed it. The gavil went down slower does that mean that the Dems fixxed it. Or did the gavil go down more than once. Does that mean that they fixxed it. Although I am a firm believer of old fashion quality leadership ther is a fine line. These are times where the ethnic population has to be closely (strickly) watched. There were alot of people watching that event take place whether on telvision, internet like myself and am able to understand that in certain delicate situations not everything is covered and by that I mean that there are a certain amount of people at a given time participating in these deligations and they are there like yourselves, if you were there, to sight and express your veiws. I am well for that. But don't you think at this point of the game we all should be expressing our support, I mean- come on, We are on the World Scope. We are like "The Race That Has Everthing So We Don't Deserve Anymore" according to popularity polls. Where does that leave us. I'll tell you where! Here too support eachother after its all said and done.

5. It appears that there were some members of the house that were afraid to let their vote be known until the last second - changing the vote just in time to get under the gavel. I am disgusted with this type of cowardice. Congress members are elected to represent us, not to play these games. Congressmen and women - stand up for what you believe, and don't allow politics to determine your vote! Now that I see that the vote after the gavel shifted even further to the left, I add my disapproval to the 97% of other Americans that feel our Congress is not doing their job. Boo-hiss, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid - you do not deserve to be in public office.
